What do you think? It was just a real quicky in Photoshop, so it's not that good, but I think it came out okay. The background gradient is to show the opacity of the coin. It's a high resolution, (300 ppi) so it may take a while to load fully.

Hey, that's pretty cool so far! Would both sides of the coin be the same? I'm just curious to see the other side. They're crystal though, so I guess they'd be one. Then of course there would be words on it, right? Saying how much it's worth and the place and I suppose the year.

It's a good start but:

Probably shouldn't use that picture. I don't know linda white personally, or where I found her art. Some google searching turned up http://www.uniquerenditions.com which I'm pretty sure is her, but is down.

The pictures now in the setting aren't ours. Eventually, if all goes well, someday, we'll have our own art that we can do anything we want with. But if possible try to find something that is entirely taken from public domain artwork or draw something new. That's if you want it to get used in the long term.

It should have some writing on it. Not English. Perhaps just numbers or runes. Maybe just one number, or one symbol to denote the amount.

Also a suggestion if you want to show the transparency, try stacking two or three of them. You make even be able to skew some perspective into it if you make a small pile of like 3 coins. If it doesn't look totally fake. Not sure how that would work out.
