Name: Cerulean*

Age: Unknown

Race & Gender: Fairy Male

Height: 5’10

Weight: Unknown

Appearance: Cerulean is human in appearance, aside from a few, not-so-discrete features. His wavy hair is chrome in color and falls about his shoulders. It is unruly, like that of a wild animal, but still holds its natural, sleek beauty. His light skin has a natural glitter effect and glows teal in the moonlight. He has a thin jaw and nose, giving him a slightly feminine appearance. His lips and eyebrows rarely move. The only expression he shows is in his eyes, which are a pale blue. However, he is capable of slight shape-shifting to adapt to his environment. He can't change into a different creature, exactly, but he can change some of his own physical features to look more human, or grow claws for combat situations.

Combat: His natural instinct is to flee from combat situations, but if absolutely necessary he can fight like a dog; bearing tooth and claw. He uses his affinity with the astral plane to increase his agility. He can occassionally walk through the plane. To bystanders, it would seem he is evaporating from sight, but to him he is simply walking across a field.

Flaws: He is social inept and completely oblivious to the human hatred of magic and magical creatures. Physically, he is not strong and does not actively use spells.

Belongings: He carries nothing with him. He is a scavenger when it comes to finding food, and he lives off of the environment.

Personality: Psychologically, this fairy is no more complex than a dog. He acts like an animal in a humanoid body. He is gentle, kind and fascinated by humans, but he fears them as well. He has spent many nights watching the people of Marn from a distance…

Aspirations: There is an unconscious drive deep inside of the fairy that drives him into the city of Marn. The object or person in question is unknown, but he feels a force, like an invisible chain, drawing him in.

History:
The night lights of Marn radiated for miles. It was a beautiful, almost mysterious view that could entrance anyone that has never laid eyes on such a thing before. These blue eyes have certainly never beheld something of this magnitude.

Perched high in a tree was a creature that would seem human were it not for chrome hair and the ethereal glow emitted from his naked skin. The glow, teal in color, flowed in dense waves, so it could almost be mistaken for mist. His eyes stared intently at the place where so many creatures lived, creatures that looked like him, but were so very different. Humans. There was something about these humans that fascinated the creature, but he feared them. He had never been close to one before. He never wanted to be close to them. He just wanted to watch from a distance.

However, there was something about that place called Marn. There was something, or someone, which existed in that city. What it was, the creature didn’t know. But he could sense its presence. He could feel this object in the back of his mind. It was drawing him in.

He shuddered and looked away, but his expression never changed. He began to crawl down the trunk of the tree, and as he did so, he faded from view. It was as if he was leaving this world and moving through the astral plane. Before long, he reappeared on the ground, several feet away from the tree he was crawling on a moment ago. He phased in, first translucent, and slowly gained substance.

He dug is fingers and toes into the dirt, finding the cold comfortable. The creature’s eyes were drawn to the city once again. There was a tugging sensation in his mind. He one hand forward, carefully, and leaned slightly towards the home of the humans and towards the thing that resided there. He made his decision. The fairy began sprinting, on all fours, towards the object of his desire, leaving only a trail of his ethereal light behind him.

*I'm only using this as a code name to simplify things, because he doesn't actually have a name

A fairy with no magic?

At least he must be able to cross over to the astral plane.

Approved otherwise.

I think I mentioned that he can move through the astral plane. One thing that I wanted to be an important aspect of this character is his adaptability, and I'm sure I didn't properly display that. He can probably develop magic over time, but at the moment he's basically a blank slate.

Huh. Not sure how I missed that... In two places no less.

It still does seem a bit odd, a fairy with nearly no magic. I take it he was fairly recently.. er.. spawned?

I suppose so... I never really thought of spells, but I can make some if you think it would be more appropriate.

Y'know, just 'cause a fairy has magic, doesn't mean we have to be all good at it and stuff. Or even aware we have it. Don't listen to him, Cer! Fight the power!
