*waves* Another new face :)

*waves* Hello! Wow I looked long and hard to find this place! The number of quality play-by-posts seem to be dwindling. My name's Mika; I've been playing rpgs since 2000, only play-by-posts, but limited to only three games. I'm very interested in this one--it seems viable and well-created--however, the type of game I'm used to has a 1:1 ratio of player and moderator per thread. I'm peeking around and don't see the usual GM ____ s around. How exactly does this work?

I'm hoping to play a female half-Dwarf character, possibly the result of a Dwarvn traveller and an employee of the brothel. ;) I had an idea forming from the other game I've been involved in for the last few years, but that one only allows 1 character per player, so I had to seek out other outlets. *grins*

Well, thanks for reading!

Greetings and welcome.

We only have 3 mods here, including myself. Definitely not 1:1 ratio. We trust the writers here to cooperate with eachother, it's more interactive fiction than RPing, so we don't need that many mods. Actually all I do is approve characters and play some important roles in the city. If there was a dispute I'd do something but everyone here is great, there's been almost no problems. Jenica and Kamar help me out with that, and Kam is running a plot, but players are free to go on their own.

Welcome to our humble abode. I hope you like red!

*waves back amiably at the newcomer* Hail and well met!

As Frug said, we all cooperate with each other, which I find more useful than any amount of Mods. Having the Player Communication section makes things so much easier. Feel free to discuss your ideas and there should be people interested.

Assuming Frug's permission of course, I would be more than happy to run a plot through NPCs if that helps. Helps me be active on the site while waiting for the storyline I'm in.

Yeah, welcome. I'm in for that, Shadow. As long as Frug agrees

*looks at frug*

Agree, damnit.

Sorry, I agree.

Just make sure you ok the details with one of the mods, to make sure you're not doing something out of whack setting/plotwise.

Hello and welcome. I love your idea for a character btw, very interesting.

And I love to NPC too, so give me a shout if you want me. :D

Thanks for the welcome!!! I would indeed be interested in playing with a few NPCs--it may be a bit of a crutch, but I feel like I might get lost at first without that. ;) I need to read a bit more of the stories to make sure my character is in line with the world (she's changed quite drastically about 4 times already *winks*) but I'll probably have a first draft done by my days off work (Tuesday and Wednesday).

Oh, and yes I like red. :) Actually, I'm very happy the background is black and the text is white--it's a lot easier on the eyes. :) You guys have made a very cool site.

Well I'm glad. I usually don't suggest these colours. Actually I usually tell people to avoid making web pages with black backgrounds. But it fits Thar, and it's kind of trademarked by this point.

I find it wonderfully easy to read. It seems to fit quite well, I suppose. Never gave it much thought. :)

*Has no NPC's...* hmm. I'll need to get a little creative...

Still, I guess that's the best thing about being self-employed... I don't have to minimise Thar when the boss comes round. :P

yeah, the text is actually a bit off white.

links: www.somethingawful.com are white. It shows when there's a whole page of writing.

Yeah, at first the text was white, but we complained and he made it like a pinkish-white. It works really well for the site. I've always liked how TS looks.

But, hellu and welcome! I'm sure we'll accommodate the way you play, so don't worry. We have a "nice" community here :)

Having a full discussion on how the site looks... when it's the content that really counts...

*mutters to self*

Anyhoo, yes, welcome. I think I'm currently huddled next to an unconcious drunkard, so look me up, won't you?

Image is always important, if you have too much white the normal insomniac RPer will hate it, tired eyes to not like white, nonono. :P

I love the look of this place, always have, especially the banner, it reflects the world perfectly, this little district isolated from the rest of the world...

<_<

Wow guys, I'm really flattered. I spent hours brooding over the look and redid the banner at least 3 times. The old one was almost the same, but no tree.
