Player Name: Anajiel
Name: Lachtna Spéir
Age: Lachtna appears to be approximately 42 years of age, but is in reality closer to 100 years old
Race: Elf - Healer
Height: 6 ft. 3 in.
Weight: 180 lbs.
Physical Description:
He is a tall and slender figure, athletic proportions made lean by years of travel and genetic predisposition to the point of appearing delicate. Hair of multiple tones frames his face in straight thick lines and falls to the middle of his back, composed with hues borrowed from freshly cut wood and morning sunrise. Pale eyes shine with life from his angled face, fluctuating in tone as easily as the wind...and his thoughts, ranging from deep pools of blue to the deep moodiness of cloud-covered skies.
Fine lines of age begin to show around his eyes and his mouth, etched equally by times of happiness and sadness in his life. A handsome visage is marred slightly by a scar resting above his right eye. His lips are well-shaped but border on being too thin. His cheekbones are high and his chin pointed, with features slightly over-defined, bordering on the feminine.
His clothes are simply made and simply hued, often victim to dust and weather. Leather boots are worn from walking and scuffed.

Posessions: A small pouch of bishan, a necklace he wears hidden beneath his clothing that was given to him by his dead lover. Carries a small pouch of herbs that assist him in his healing abilities, as well as a short sword.
Powers or Strengths: Lachtna is a skilled swordsman, but will only resort to violence if all other options have been exhausted. He is a nonconfrontational man, and prefers peace and quiet over disruption. He has healing powers that he keeps mostly hidden for fear of his own personal safety. He has developed a keen sense of the reality around him during his life, but has neglected advancing the ability beyond its basic components due to his easily distracted nature.
Lachtna's healing powers are guided by touch. He has a limited but growing ability to use energy from the earth's heart in order to heal wounds and illness. The herbs he carries are more of a learned knowledge that he can use to assist minor things such as headaches, minor aches and pains. His powers serve others more than himself, ie. it is much more difficult for him to sustain himself through a wound or illness using his abilities than it is for him to use his abilities to assist others.
As for his awareness of his surroundings, he has a very limited ability to sense the difference between what is real and what is magical illusion. This is an undeveloped ability and only assists him if the illusion is very weakly or badly cast, and he usually can only discover it at the last second.
Weaknesses: Lachtna is easily distracted, whether it be by a charming smile or an unwalked path. This has a tendency to land him in trouble he was not bargaining for. He also has a tendency to see the best in people to the folly of ignoring their more negative aspects. While he has grown better at recognizing this as he grows older, he still is often betrayed by those who he thought to be trustworthy.
When he uses his healing powers, he is often left weak for a period directly after their use. This leaves him vulnerable to attack, but a price he endures in order to provide strength and safety to others. He has a tendency to put all others before himself, and is often forsaken for it.
History: Little is known to Lachtna concerning the exact place of his origin, due to an injury received twenty-five years ago in a surprise attack where he was robbed and beaten to the point of near death. It was then that he discovered his ability to heal, and also when he forgot his entire childhood. He has wandered the last twenty-five years in search of any clues as to who he was in his youth, including if he has any surviving family.
Three years ago he fell in love with a human woman named Arian, a creature of advanced magical ability who had been blinded during her magical advance. It was a price she paid for dabbling in darker arts, and left her devoid of color in her appearance and destroyed her sight. He loved her madly to the point of folly, and when she died merely 6 months ago due to a previous debt left unpaid, Lachtna experienced perhaps the worst heartache he has ever known...or at least that he can remember. He sought to heal her as she died, but her injuries were too great for his skill.
Since that time he has been wandering, working for those who need it. His work has been comprised mostly of odd jobs, with the occasional request for more intimate tasks due to his beautiful qualities, quiet and gentle nature.
His heart is that of the wounded lover and jaded philosopher, but he still sees a light in his path. The light is his hope that perhaps one day he will rediscover who it is he is, and that just perhaps he is not as alone in the world as he perceives himself to be.
