Player Name: Becky

Name: Molly "Mol" Coles

Age: 34

Race: Human

Height: 5'8

Weight: 230 lbs

Physical Description:
Molly's a tall woman, with a very muscular body. She has the capacity to do the work of men ten years younger than she is. She has dark hair, often cropped short in an unflattering style, a square face that is still quite feminine despite her tendency to be mannish. Her eyes are very dark brown, almost black. The overall impression of Molly is not that of a lovely woman. She's often been mistaken for a man and she doesn't bother to correct people. When it comes to making an honest wage it's just as well since she prefers to do the sort of work that men do.

Possessions:
When she's about on her own she's often got a quarterstaff with her. It serves a number of purposes, but she also knows how to use it very effectively in a fight. Everywhere she stays the night she keeps with her an old tattered baby blanket in memory of the child she lost. She'll often keep it tucked under her pillow so that she can touch it with her fingers as she goes to sleep.

Powers or Strengths:
Molly is very skilled at hand-to-hand combat. She's never shrunk from a rowdy brawl and has the strength to crush bones with her grip. She fights even better when she's drunk because then she's even more fearless and less likely to pull her punches.

Weaknesses:
Molly's got some emotional "issues". She tends to be overly passionate about anything that involves children. She's always looking for the child she lost and when she meets a child of the right age becomes desperately hopeful that this one could be hers. Molly also has a slew of terrible habits from drinking like a sailor to smoking a pipe. She doesn't hide her farts and belches and swears like a wagon-driver.

History:
Molly was never a wealthy woman and never expected to be one either. She was born to a poor family well beyond Marn and city life. When she was fifteen she fell for the charms of a sweet-talking gentleman and it was only a week of fun and laughs before she found herself with child. After that the man left and she was sure she'd never see him again.

She was horribly wrong. The very night she gave birth to her child, a difficult labor which left her unable to bear more children, the man returned and stole away the newborn. Her family was relieved to be free of the burden of their daughter being an unwed mother, but Molly was scarred by the loss of her baby for the rest of her life. She still dreams of the child in the middle of the night and insists on keeping a blanket, the one the child had been wrapped in, tucked under her pillow at night.

Her parents never told her if the child was a boy or a girl and she never knew. She often yearns to know what her baby felt like to hold and today she looks at anyone in their late teens with a determined gaze wondering if this was the one she lost.

Disgusted by her parents' lack of sympathy for her grief, Molly took to wandering the lands in search of the man who'd stolen her baby. The name he gave her was Atalan but she doubts that was his real name. In her wandering she took up as the mistress to a bandit leader named Rovan Blandiss. Living with bandits taught her how to fight to defend herself and also to earn respect. Rovan understood her desire to get her child back but had his own agendas which usurped hers time and again. Eventually he was arrested and brought to Marn. Without much else to do, she decided to take up residence in Marn just to be closer to him even though she's given up hope he'll ever be released.

She's taken to living a cleaner, more law-abiding life these days. She works for a man who runs a hauling business. He's got a crew who move crates for a number of merchant warehouses and other businesses. After a hard day's work Mol can often be found throwing back a few pitchers at the Drunken Rat.
