Thar Shaddin is 10 years old and we thought, what better way to celebrate than hosting a Founder's Day celebration.

Timing: A month after the bombings

Why: As a big FU to the bombers and Paragon and everyone else. We're here and we're proud!

What: A parade!

Celebrations, a parade down Main Street! The guard all shined up! Descendent Families on a horse-drawn float. GUild floats. Race representation floats! A Teodinus float! TOme re-enactment complete with bad costumes.

PERIOD COSTUMES A MUST!

A marching band or something. Yeah.
That kind of stuff.

Who can post: Are you living in Marn? Then you can post!

Uhhhh... what else?

This idea has a lot of interesting possibilities. I'm going to add some ideas, just brainstorming.

It's possible to write all sorts of IC preparations for this event. And after the cheering at the parade, there could be entertainments like a fair where people can stroll around in their period costumes, with stalls where they can sell and buy patriotic accents and other stuff.

There could also be things like a contest about best pie/cake followed by an auction of the winning food. Outdoors picnics that can be as luxurious or simple as befits the characters.

In the evening, dance, still in period costumes.

Unexpected things and obstacles/conflict could happen at the parade, during the fair&picnic phase and/or at the dance in the evening.

In case the witch coven concept gets off the ground this could be the day they stroll into Marn. As everybody are wearing period costumes this could mean the coven members are at first believed to be Marnians in costumes, so they can blend in for a while before they are outed.

Good thoughts! Not sure when the plan to start this is. I only ask for committed post schedules.
