Rhuza Meldonus Kingpriest

Name: Rhuza Meldonus Kingpriest
Age: 45
Race: Elven
Height: 6'0
Weight: 165
EYES: Golden
HAIR: Long and White/Darkens to gold near ends.
SKIN: Pale White
Voice: Elegant Baritone
Physical Description:
Usually seen in dark garbs, Rhuza wears black leather boots, abysmal leather shoulder coverings, and black leather wrist braces. Elves as a whole have pointed ears with skin tones matching that of an average human, although inexplicably Rhuza's skin is sickly pale.
Rhuza also bears the trademark 'sin scars' of his clan, bestowed upon all of the high ranking assassins of the Guild. The scars entail a myriad of facial markings, with the most noticeable stretching from cheek to cheek in a straight yet jagged fashion over his nose. Other markings can be found on his forehead and circular-like scars can be found on his temples. Rhuza's eyes and mouth are also tinted very dark, appearing very deep blue or black depending on light. His colleagues would attribute the dark markings to being a physical embodiment of the darkness that consumes Rhuza's mind and spirit, but truthfully its a personal preference to heighten both the ferocity of his appearance and to magnify his ability to see and move about in the dark.
Personality:
Rhuza is extremely arrogant and selfish, believing himself to be the sole potentate and only High-statured being of the world despite the insurmountable number of unknown individuals far more superior than him. He cannot acknowledge the authority of anyone, including those whom wield badges or make claims of high powers verbally. He's also racist, considering all whom aren't Elves inferior due to this fact, viewing most other sentients as mongrels. The exceptions to these ideals are those whom he would come to share a faction or party with, or other rogues whom have gained his respect.
Possessions: Two 12" daggers with matching black scabbards, Longbow, Shuriken.
Strengths:
+ Technical Guru- Where Rhuza lacks physical strength, technical accuracy developed instead. Rhuza has an incredible amount of self-control. He's also trained his body to do exactly what he wants as soon as he wants. This results in unconventional acrobatics, extremely precise technical accuracy in melee combat, near-perfect hand-eye coordination, and unrestricted manipulation of his body's motion- which allows Rhuza to halt his own momentum/motion in order to abruptly change directions, whether this be his body or a limb.
+ Melee Prowess- Rhuza also has a special affinity for melee weapons, knowing how to wield wazikashi's, short swords and daggers very well and when without cold steel he's able to create shivs from his enviroment. Rhuza is also a practiced student of martial arts, able to exchange blows with other practitioners for extended periods of time granted any previous activities haven't left him too exhausted for the task.
+ Intelligence- Despite his harsh upbringing and violent attitude, Rhuza has a certain knack for deductive reasoning, as well as being an astute judge of character, especially in the dark side of the morality spectrum. He's also incredibly patient, observant, and displays excellent problem solving skills.
+ Magic: Though limited to only one ability, Rhuza has an admirable amount of knowledge in the arts of Stealth and using this technique on a moment's whim to vanish from the naked eye, though he has yet to cross an enemy whom used magic to locate him. Taught to him by his father, Rhuza strives to perfect this technique before moving on to others.
Weaknesses:
- Weakling- Rhuza has amazingly low natural strength. As a result wrestling could mean an end to Helios' life should his martial arts prowess fail to keep an expert wrestler at bay.
- Introvert: Rhuza will approach nearly no one in social settings, nor does he seek to actually acquire new allies. Those whom he would eventually come to call friends will be individuals who were most likely at the right place at the right time. Otherwise, Rhuza loathes any social encounters and goes out of his way to avoid them.
- Sympathy for Children- This can be used against Rhuza to lure him into traps or force him to do something against his will(don't push it though). He generally refuses to kill innocent bystanders and children. Depending on the situation, Rhuza's state of mind and whether or not he needs something from someone bad enough, he won't kill innocents. His murders come in a variety of flavors, but most are birthed in extreme/life-threatening situations or anything which threatens his freedom or goes against his ability to maintain his selfishness.
- Selfishness- Rhuza will ensure his own safety over everyone in any situation one could create. His health is his main priority, along with his freedom and his will to be individualistic and move without chain-like restrictions on his day-to-day life. In short; Rhuza would let his childhood friend drown if it meant his raft wouldn't sink.
- Other Flaws: Rhuza has no technical knowledge of medical training, either through mundane practices or magical assistance. He's also impossibly arrogant, deceitful(to those he needs to be), condescending and susceptible to physical attacks as he refuses to wear hard armor.
History:
Given the name Rhuza at birth, he was brought into Pal Tahrenor with a silver spoon. However, the family's luxury were aquired through blood and not an honest day's work. Rhuza's parents were a dangerous pair of cut-throats, spies, and assassins. From the time he was able to walk, he was immediately brought into this violent world. Rhuza would go on to experience a very rough childhood, and with his parents being pure-blooded elves, Rhuza in turn would be raised as both a dignitary and a warrior, his only friends being the ones he made up and his only teachers to be his parents. Fortunately, however, he was taught very well by them, being tutored in multilingual courses, mathematics, and conventional history. Education came routinely and in time he also learned unarmed combat, stealth, and bow training.
Rhuza's mother and father were the extension force of a minor criminal organization known simply as The Guild. As was procedure, when he became of age, Rhuza was forced to join. However, by this time he'd been so broken down by his parents that he had little desire to turn away from the lifestyle so he embraced everything that came with the lifestyle. By the time he was 18 Rhuza had fully embraced the life of the Reaper and had been dubbed by the Guild to be the "Perfect Killer" one who had no love interests, no identity, no friends, and no mercy.
While loyal to the Guild, Rhuza accepted a mission to assassinate presumably a target far too talented in combat for Rhuza to kill, so the ensuing weeks ended with Rhuza wasting too much time studying his target and enduring too much pain during his defeat. Despite the insurmountable danger faced in the mission, what awaited his return to the Guild was the stigma and harsh punishment associated with the failure of completing his objective. In response to this treatment, a wrong levied against an assassin who had put life and limb on the line for his Guild, Rhuza came to hold a violent hatred for his organization as he escaped from imprisonment.
As he mounted his escape, his parents stood as the sole obstacle in his path to freedom. Faced with a decision that could further scar the young elf, Rhuza lunged forward and watched as his parents turned their backs to him and escorted him from the hostile grounds and into the wilds.
Now as a rougue and wanted trio, Rhuza and his parents made their way to Virdara Woods where Rhuza's parents hoped to lead those whom followed them into the dangerous area and dispose of them before settling in the quiet town of Shim, if possible. During the trek to Virdara, Rhuza's father resurfaced the conversation of Stealth with his son and asked if he'd continued to practice it over the years as instructed. Responding positively, the trio continued though Rhuza didn't know why it was vital that his father knew that Rhuza was capable of using the magical power. Under the harsh tutelage of his father for the past 12 years, Rhuza learned hand-to-hand combat and how to effectively use the wazikashi blade, daggers, and the longbow. Unfortunately, his father's lack of affinity for poison left Rhuza dry on that topic so he was left to one day learn that on his own if so wished it. A quote Rhuza's father once barked during a practice session was, "a well placed arrow or stab can and will render any type of poison useless, regardless of its potency!"
A week later, the trio were predictably tracked down and from their view inside the cover of Virdara's brush, they watched as the Guild's assassins approached the threshold of the area. Those sent to kill them were recongnized by Rhuza's parents and they knew that they could not escape their fate. Watching them surrender and give up before the battle had even begun made Rhuza sick to his stomach. He wanted to heel over and vomit but he wouldn't allow his parents to see his weakness. Something they failed to do.
As the blade swinging commenced, Rhuza could quickly see the fortune his parents told to be true as he helplessly watched his mother die as cold steel stabbed into her repeatedly. Looking to his father for answers, he readied his blade as one of the assassins approached him. Taking shaky steps backwards, Rhuza grit his teeth as he looked to his father once more and watched as he yelled, "Now!" And without a moment's hesitation, Rhuza sheathed his daggers, turned away from the scene and vanished into stealth as he sprinted deeper into the Woods.
Though the two cutthroats were formidable in their craft, they were not built for outnumbered fights and were quickly over ran by the tank-like warriors bearing their shields and swords. Rhuza's father sacrificed himself to save his son, much to Rhuza's dismay and drew the attention of the fight to himself before falling under the swings and slashes of their weapons. The events of that night would shape Rhuza's personality into one without attachment and trust, as he remained a working freelance Assassin and wandered the world of Pal Tahrenor as a rogue.
