Player Name: Bubbles
Name: Cheshire
Gender: Male
Race: Unknown to even Cheshire himself. Appears as an ordinary human for the most part.
Age: Unknown, however Cheshire can recall the last 23 years. Appearance of one in their early 20s.
Height: 5’9”
Physical Description:
Cheshire’s skin is smooth and has a very light tan. It is entirely void of scars or marks due to his healing. His eyes are a luminescent gold and his hair a short mess of dull blonde to match. He never allows his hair to grow longer than chin level, and cuts it himself with his knife. He has little-to-no fat on his body and is lightly toned with muscle. He never seems to lose this build, regardless of his lack of exercise. His clothing consists of much the same outfit every day, with little variation, as he doesn’t own many clothes. He mostly wears the clothing he had when he awoke:
Personality:
Possessions:
Cheshire always keeps a pack of homemade monkshood cigarettes on him at all times, usually 20 or less. They are carefully rolled in white paper most of the time, but he uses black and red paper from time to time as well (though these papers are just back ups for when he uses nightshade and mandrake).
When travelling, Cheshire usually carries a rucksack with the following:
3-6 planting pots, depending on length of departure.
Enough appropriate planting soil for 2 plantings in each pot.
Enough seeds of his frequent plants for 4 plantings per pot, just in case of accident.
Planting/handling tools: tiny sheers, mixing bowl, measuring cup, etc.
A simple knife. Usually just a random knife he’s picked up somewhere as he tends to lose them.
Clothes, which consists of 2-3 outfits depending on location.
A small amount of money: enough to buy food, a knife if need be, and any other essentials.
Besides this, Cheshire owns much more planting/handling materials which he keeps at his home.
‘home undecided (somewhere in Barukia)
Strengths:
Durability/Healing - His wounds heal twice as fast as a normal human’s. A knife wound or broken bone would hurt the same, but he has a high threshold for pain so it wouldn't slow him down too much. This ability works on a cellular level as well, making him immune to weaker toxins and poisons. Because of this ability he will never retain scars or tattoos for a long period of time. Most will vanish after weeks.
Planting/Herbalism – Has a good knowledge of toxic plants and how to handle, prepare, and plant them. He is also very slightly knowledgeable on medicinal plants, but very few. His knowledge of monkshood, mandrake, and nightshade are the most prominent.
Scraps – He is incapable of truly holding his own in a fight. He can hit about as hard as anyone else, but lacks the skill or experience to hit where it hurts and dodge/block attacks against himself. His only real advantage in a fight is his ability to take a damn good beating.
Claws – At the base of his fingernails are claws that can extend 2cm from the tips of his fingers. These claws are as durable as that of a large feline such as a tiger. They regenerate much faster than his other wound however, usually taking only a few days to grow back to full length if damaged.
Weaknesses:
Inhuman Existence - Cheshire is far from human, yet has no memory of what he once was. He has a powerful urge to push his body to the limits, often seeking violence and danger. This is what has brought on the habit of taking several poisons and toxins into his body. He constantly puts himself into less-than-ideal situations, and pays for it. He has harbored countless injuries over the years in his pursuit of knowledge, and shows no signs of remorse or desire to stop. He doesn't want to die, but rather wants to know what can kill him.
Ambiguous Anatomy – Parts of his body, most commonly his face, tend to alter themselves reflexively in certain situations. This prevents him from guising as a human in many situations. His eyes frequently become more cat-like, retaining their color but not their shape, and his mouth and jaw will at times become very wide with mostly-jagged teeth. Other changes have consisted of his ribcage becoming slightly more pronounced, his legs becoming more like a cat’s, and his spine being able to bend more like a cat’s. In no way can Cheshire completely change form into another creature, nor can he make any of these changes at will.
Toxin Susceptibility – While Cheshire is nearly unaffected by most toxins or poisons, he is notably weak against some in particular. These effects are further explained in their respective sections.
Wormwood (unaware to Cheshire) - In the case of wormwood his veins become a black/blue and rise to the skin at the affected area. He will lose functionality in this part of his body for several minutes to a few hours depending on potency or dosage. If ingested, he will be unable to breathe without treatment or help, and verbal communication of any kind is impossible. If the forehead, crown, or temples are affected he will feel intense pain and will likely be unable to control most of his motor functions.
Opium/Poppy Seeds - In the case of opium or poppy seeds his body goes numb and limp. He can still feel sharp sensations such as most forms of pain and torture, but a light touch should hardly register. This usually last for several hours.
Tobacco (unaware to Cheshire) – Tobacco is Cheshire’s “Achilles’ heel”. If the fumes from it are inhaled he will soon begin coughing up blood. The longer he remains near the fumes, the more violent, and potentially fatal, this becomes. Upon coming into contact with his skin he will feel intense pain and his skin will break out into an intense bleeding rash, spreading quickly from the affected area.
