Kala looked up from her notebook and gazed curiously around the room. She was sitting at a small table on her own in a bar that she didn't recognize and she had no idea how she got in here. Everyone else seemed to paired off together, some appearing to be getting acquainted for the first time, and others seemed be getting kind of cozy as if they had known each other for a while.

Kala pushed her auburn hair back from her gold tinted eyes before peering around the bouquet of flowers set in the middle of the table. No one stared back at her though, which didn't bother her at all.

I must have been so busy studying the results of my last procedure that I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking. Kala thought to herself as she repositioned herself in her chair, toying with the burgundy fabric of her dress skirt. She didn't like wearing dresses, they felt too limiting and did't cover the same stuff as her normal clothes did. But her usual outfits were all either dirty or falling apart. Someone had sent someone else to get her something a bit more new and the idiot had gotten a dress, a dress of all things! Didn't anyone pay attention? Well at least they choose a decent colour, even if the clinginess of the sleeve and the scooped neckline made her feel a bit weird.

Kala's thoughts jumped away from her irritating co-workers (if you could call them that) and their odd senses in fashion and back to how she got into this particular location. I do remember feeling thirsty and I must have ended up entering an establishment that was doing some sort of couple event and I happen to be the odd one out. Oh well, more time for me to study.

She was about to bury herself in her notebook again when she noticed a server walking past. "Excuse me!" She called in a hush tone that somehow the woman managed to hear.

"What can I do ya for miss? Are you still waiting for someone?" The server was obviously bored of the night already.

"I would like something to drink please...Juice. No water, no juice berry please. Although water would be better to rehydrate and it isn't as sweet. But I like berry juice better....ummm." Kala thoughtfully stared at the ceiling of the room with her head tilted back. The server clearing her throat brought Kala back down from clouds. "Make it half water, half juice an surprise me with a shot of something." Nodding at the waitress who jotted down her order before strutting her stuff back to the counter.
