Powers or Strengths:
Swordsmanship
Prior training and history in the combative arts in his previous life has left him with exceptional abilities in bladework such as swords, daggers, axes, and other melee weapons of similar size and shape.
Magical Affinity
Has the ability to use various schools of magic such as elemental manipulation, telekinesis, and physical shielding at an intermediate level. Magic arts in healing are at novice levels, and will have to take some additional practice, but with the laws of nature out to get him, his healing ability is getting plenty of practice.
Survival Instinct
Due to the fact that Gabriel has already died once, and is now living a second chance, he doesn't take anything for granted. Barely surviving as it is, he takes extra precautions when conducting himself and might find himself to be rather selfish at times.
Weaknesses and Flaws:
Shortened Life
Due to the nature of his resurrection, Gabriel's life has been significantly shortened, and that aspect brings a toll on his patience, and his inability to sit still and wait.
Hypersensitive Senses
Due to the frailty of his body: his hearing, sight, and touch have become hypersensitive to loud noises, bright lights, and heat and cold. As his body degrades, his senses become more sensitive, and as strength returns, less sensitive.
Phantom Pain
Occasionally there is a pain in his chest, especially with familiar memories or members of his previous life returning to his surroundings, just over his heart where in his previous life a sword was dug through his chest, slicing beside his heart before the blade twists and cuts it open.
Caffeine Addiction
Gabriel is addicted to caffeine, and as such, without it, severe migraines and unnatural fatigue occur. Since he's constantly trying to stay awake and alert at key times, he has fallen to caffeine as a method of energy when his body grows weak in nature.

For survival gear, it contains rations and water for several days, medical herbs for small wounds, and a spare change of clothing (plus his warm clothing during hot days), along with an additional long sword strapped to the outside, and a cotton bed-roll tied to the bottom. For special items, it contains a thin fifty-seven page book wrapped in black cloth named "The Rhythm Resurrected".
