Final day of my capstone class for my MBA, before I begin another 9 months of classes related to my concentration, and I haven't finished my final paper. It's due in

Potential job layoff looming in future, too. What a pain!

Not that have much to whine about, I know I am actually very blessed... doesn't change the fact that one can get overwhelmed every now and then.

Youch, I feel you on the job layoff dread, having been laid off two god damn winters in a row. Was the nature of the area I just moved from since it relied heavily on tourism during the summer. Jobs aplenty during summer, none for winter. Spent all summer reading the Game of Thrones books and they're fond of saying "Winter's coming" to signify hard times ahead and every time I came across that, it hit home.

Hope everything works out for you. All I can say is I like to believe things end up the way they do for a good reason, even if we can't see that reason at the time. I try (but often fail lol) to keep that in mind when the shit hits the fan.

I know you started this thread over a week ago, but I wish you the best Ree! Job layoffs can be tough, I lost my news job not that long ago and now that it's the slow season my other job hasn't had much work for me these last few weeks and we've had to limit our spending. However, before long the weather will start to improve again and hopefully everything will turn out for the best.

Update. On March 4, I was informed I was being laid off. My last day is May 1. Thankfully, I will get a severance package. Unfortunately, when that runs out things may get a little sticky if I don't find new work.

Sharing in case I seem a bit off. Well, more than usual.

Oh man, Ree, I'm so sorry. You have all my positive thinking that you will be able to find new work soon! BETTER WORK.
