Hello all, I've been searching for a new free-form game for a while now, and it seems like this one is the right fit. I'm fairly new to turn by post games, but I'm a quick learner and willing to make a good contribution to the game. I live in a college community, so my posts may be rather sporadic, but I should be able to make posts every day. Well anyway here I go.
Name: Nemo D. Bishop
Age:204
Race: Damkol
Height: 6'3"
weight: 205
Appearance: He is a tall stout man, very broad shoulders, and in good physical condition. He looks like a large human, and wears his black hair long and braided. His skin is a dark red color, and his features resemble a native american. His and his entire race has brilliant Gold eye's. Nemo wears light mail at all times, and light loosely fitting clothing. He enjoys jewelry, especially gold, and wears some gold armor (arm and leg braces) with a leather belt and leather sandals.
Possessions: A long scimitar he wears on his hip, over 25 different combat knives strapped to his body, A skeleton key (a lock pick that is supposed to open any lock), light mail, gold armor bracers, gold grieves, A named sword Avicin which he only draws in extreme situations.
other stuff: flint and steel, lots of rope, a working knife, a wooden bowl, a hatchet, jewelry from his homeland.
Powers/strengths:
Nemo's Race has extraordinary combat skills, including skills in swordsmanship, knife fighting, close combat with most any weapon, and Nemo in particular in trickery and thievery. Nemo is a skilled seaman, and survival expert, his culture is deeply rooted in the elements, however Nemo has never studied in depth on the intricacies of his peoples magic, apart from how they use it to track.
Clever: Nemo is noted for his tactical usefulness in combat, and his resourcefulness in everyday life.
Loyal: Thief or not, if the right amount of treasure is put up, he will die for your cause.
luck: He is just one lucky S.O.B
Eternal Youth: Like all Damkolian, he stops ageing at 20 and spends the rest of his existence perfecting himself in combat and earthly magic, so that they may be one with the universe once again.
Weakness:
Overconfidence: tends to under analyze danger.
Drunkard: like any good sailor he may like to get out of sorts in a bar.
Not immortal, he can be killed just like any other human and feels pain just like everyone else.
History:
Nemo D. Bishop was a fierce man in his younger century, he never stopped training never put away his sword, and never ever lost a fight. His people looked up to him as a leader, took to his side and fought many battles over Damkol's rich land and many port's. Nemo's early victories brought peace to his land, and peace brought Nemo unrest.
He longed to see the world, to see beyond the sea, and to know what other adventures he could fill his hopefully long life with.
He set to work building a ship, the ship. the ship that would cross the great ocean with Captain Nemo at the wheel. it took the greater part of 25 years for this great ship, The Havucuun, to be built. And in his second century Nemo and his men set sail with so many riches to find a new world, a new chance to learn new skills.
Unfortunately, the perils of this sea, were to much for this ship and Nemo was to be the only Damkol left aboard a skiff made from the wreckage of his beloved vessel. Today we find Nemo slowly drifting, finding the mouth of a river, he decides that this would be the best place to find another civilization, it is good to point out that Nemo has no bearings in this strange land and is on constant vigilance after his long arduous voyage, he notices what looks to be a large circular structure in the water slowly turning.
Current Goals: To gain his bearings, find new explorers to sail with him possibly to find his ship, and his men, if any still live.
