Foxes, Faeries and Fun

She was running just to run. Silver hair, let down from her usual bun, streamed behind her. Her usual attire was exchanged for a dress - sky blue with silver embroidery, a white cloak kept her shoulders from becoming cold.

As she ran she laughed, the flowers in the meadow giving off such a beautiful scent... She stopped running and spun, still laughing. She didn't know WHY she was happy - she just was.

Taele was sitting under a tree that afternoon, carving, as she saw a girl running her way. She smiled softly at the woman, wondering what she was doing.

Fay spotted the small, whittling girl and grinned before trouncing over and flopping next to her.

"What are you making?" The shifter asked the fae.

"Oh, erm, nothing much." she said, "I'm just making a carving of someone I miss..." she finished, holding it out to the fox-girl to look at.
((It's a carving of Raeilun crouched on the ground.))
"I..I thought I might have loved him. But he disappeared.."
She smiled sadly.
((Taele shows her tender side when discussing Rae.))

Fay tilted her head as she examined the carving. It was beautifully done and she couldn't help but to admire it.

"It's beautiful, he looks quite handsome." She looked at her sad face. "Loving him shouldn't hurt you this much." Fay said carefully. She still wasn't the most knowing of people as far as emotions went, but hey, she tried.

"I miss him a lot..I just want him back.." she said, eyes becoming wet.
"But enough about me, what're you doing here?" Taele asked, sniffing and drying her eyes. She took the carving and kept whittling absentmindedly as she listened to the fox girl.

Fay tilted her head and thought. What WAS she doing here? She couldn't remember.

"I...don't remember." Fay frowned and thought hard. "I remember a man, then a flash and then I was... here.." she gestured absentmindedly. She looked down at the fae and blurted out:

"You know, you're rather pretty."

She turned a bit red, but kept her cool.
"Erm...thanks...so are you."
And Taele meant it. The fox girl was really very pretty. She let her mind wander...oh the things she'd do..
But she shook her head. People weren't attracted to her. They just weren't.

Fay noticed the blush and tilted her head, letting out a curious hum when the girl shook her head.

"What's bothering you?" Fay asked without thinking, moving so she was on her hands and knees before the girl, tilting her head.

Really Fay had NO idea what'd gotten into her. It just felt as though something was pointing her this way. Hell Fay couldn't remember anything beyond 2 minutes ago so everything was allll cool!

"Nothing." she said, with a dismissive wave.
"Since you're here, would you like to chat?" Taele asked hopefully. She didn't often get company.

Fay perked at the idea, magic flaring so that she now had fox ears and tail. "I'd love to... though I don't know what to talk about..." Fay tilted her head to the other side as she pondered.

She perked again. "I know! Shall we talk about... no no I lost it."

Taele was taken aback at the ears and tail.
"Tell me about yourself." she said, patting her lap as an indication she could sit or lay there if she pleased. "For starters, what's your name?"
Taele couldn't believe she hadn't asked yet. "I'm Taele."

Fay did as was indicated and rolled over so she was on her back, her head in Tae's lap.

"Well... my name is Fayane... I'm a shifter, obviously." She gestured at her ears even as she thought hard.

"For some reason I cannot remember much... however I do remember being trained as an assassin by my father." Feeling the girl tense up Fay was quick to reassure her.

"I don't kill unless I am attacked first, please calm yourself."

Taele let out a sigh of relief. That was good. There was no shortage of people who wanted her dead, just for being Fae.
"Well...I'm a Fae, as you can see. I..well..there isn't much to tell. I live very day-to-day, that is, I don't dwell on the past or the future. And I carve." she said, smiling a bit.

Fay grinned up at her before sneezing - and shifting fully into a fox. Seems her magic had gone haywire...

Kaleb (yes I'm adding him):

Kaleb ran, panting, away from his ghostly pursuer.

"KALEB MY LOVE YOU'RE GONNA FUCKING DIE AND MARRY ME WHETHER YOU WANT TO OR NOT YOU FUCKING COCKSUCKER!!!!!" Amyrea screamed like a banshee, a bottle of some unknown ghost-alcohol dangling from her hand. Kaleb didn't even think such a thing existed until now.

"STAY AWAY FROM ME YOU GHOST FREAK!" Kaleb screamed as he ran by Fayane and Tae, not noticing the pair. "I DUN WANNA DIIIIIEEE!!!!"
