Daily Tattler Poll

Sooo, I've been trying to get each active thread in Marn/Shim a little snippet, but I wasn't sure if people liked it when I sort of generally and obscurely mention a thread or when I go all out focusing into just one or two threads.

Also, the linking to specific posts I'm mentioning in the article, yes/no?

As many articles as possible, or only a few?

Articles dealing with stuff other than what's going on in threads, or focused solely on threads?

More specific about things happening in threads, or keep going like what I'm doing now?

Do you guys want me to wait until events have passed in the threads, or while they're happening before putting them into articles?

Thanks for giving me any input. :) I'm really enjoying writing these. Additionally, if any of you are interested in doing up tidbits of your own but don't want to do a whole Tattler issue, just go ahead and write up an article or two and submit it to me in a pm. Also, if you want to try your hand at writing up a Tattler issue just go for it! I'm only doing this cuz I have too much free time on hand and I think it's fun. :<

Oh yeah, if any of you are bored it might be fun to write up a letter to the editor as some random NPC or as your own character, and just submit it as a reply to each issue. The more hilarious the better!

Yes, me, too. I really love the Tattler posts you've been doing and like to read about other threads.

I think it's good enough if you just include events that would realistically be published, and if you feel the desire, couldn't hurt to link to the threads through the headline of each article, yeah? And no need to try to fit everything in; just do whatever you feel works.

pfff, you didn't even notice. In the latest tattler what I did was add links in to bits of text that had to do with the thread in question. I even linked directly to the post. :|

You should have an option like "You're doing a good job as it is! I like what you've been doing! Keep it the same!"

That being said... that's my vote, which is more accurately portrayed with the poll option "Maybe one or two articles spotlighting threads, and then a few more generally focused." At least, from what I've read, that seems to be the manner in which you are doing it.

Keep up the good work!

I really enjoy the tattlers and the way in which they have been done. I think it was a good idea you had to include links to the threads you were talking about in your articles as I think it will notify others of a good thread that they may of missed and let them know which one you are talking about.

As far as the number of articles in a given tattler, I think that more depends on what is out there to write about. When I took up that one issue of the tattler I went looking through the current threads for things that might be reported on, should somebody be there to see or hear of that event. So with that in mind there were many good threads that I had to leave out because I didn't feel that there was a reasonable excuse as to how it would make it in the tattler. We have a good number of threads or good sections of threads that take place within somebody's personal residence or some other location where actions or conversations would not be likely to be seen or overheard by those not in the room. So with those taken out of the mix, a tattler issue has to come from those threads that happen in more open, public places.

I'm inclined to agree with what Nia's said and I don't think you should feel like you have to cram as many threads into it as you can if it'll hinder the quality of the article. I think it's probably only worth writing articles on events that would be note-worthy enough to be mentioned in the paper. Having said that, you did a great job in the last article by highlighting threads through the fashion spotlight.

Either way, I've loved reading them.
