This is a thread dedicated to keeping track of all the establishments created through rp. The full list can be found in the Marn and Shim Businesses wiki page. Feel free to use any of the establishments listed therein during your rp!

If you create any sort of establishment during your rp please reply to this thread with a small writeup of that business. Please include the following information:

Name of Business

Owners and workers.

A short physical description of the business, as well as what they sell or make.

If you have any questions or comments about the wiki page, this thread, or any Marn and Shim establishments, don't hesitate to reply to this thread. If you want to do a writeup of any NPCs who staff or own a business or establishment, please put it here, and then link to it in this thread so the wiki can be updated. Thank you for helping to keep us organized!

Who is this Fegrin Burlumnyr guy? Everyone knows the owner of the Red Chalice is a guy named Mike, and all his barmaids get killed when bar fights break out.

Hehehe. I think it was Frug who called him that first -- http://www.tharshaddin.com/rp/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1888 .

It was posted by City Guard, which I thought was played by Frug:
"I just had it rebuilt, and that giant blue ball thing the city keeps employed tore through everything. I barely got out with my life, and the place STILL got set on fire. It isn't right." Complained tavern owner Fegrin Burlumnyr. "What is the point of sending in a monster like that if it's just going to destroy everything anyway?"

Ahem.

Having not read this topic, I designed my character to be an apprentice to a Marnian smith, who is supposedly a dwarf male. Having said that, I just read the descripion of Joran Vondan, and it would appear that he is very close to the character I had in mind. Would it make more sense that my character worked for him, instead of having two blacksmiths in one city?

That would be very cool if you decided to do that, but also if you still wanted to sort of make your own thing that's cool too. I don't want people to feel like they can't make new businesses at all (if there's too many we can always say the older unused ones shut down ;) ), but then I do think too that it's always really neat when places get used more than once. Wholly up to you.

If that's the case, I think I'll go with Mr. Vondan, he and his wife seem to be a nice couple. Also, I'd like to be connected to someting that's already existing.

*goes to edit Character sheet - wait, it's locked. Darn*

I think we need to update this to include the Temple of Teodinus and Sehkhara University. More soon.

I just wantyed to say that this thread is a brilliant idea. And Saruna is way too devoted to this place. (Do you read *every single story* for this and the newspaper?)

Thanks Derin. To your question: ALL OF THEM (though usually only once every couple months). I know Meesh reads them all too.

My personal favorite newspaper is the Vitiable Paragon.

*Waits patiently*

The vitiable paragon is pretty cool.

BTW, Derin's going to stop showing up for work at the Red Chalice. She's switched identities again and is trying to get a job at the library in Marn.

That's twice Derin's abandoned Saruna now, but at least she didn't "die" this time. She just ran away with some guy. And she left Kori in the lurch without a second thought.

I don't think Derin's a very considerate person.
