Summary: Alyson has accepted Belatucadrus' offer of protection and has been sent with a sackful of money to Marn and is trying to figure out what to do with her life. She plans to seek out Metarie and Camulous - the people who saved her from Tomas the baker in Shim.

Alyson and Willow have just run into an unconscious Isaac, and are taking him to the hospital where they will meet Metarie.

My character has been approved, and I'm ready to go. It probably wouldn't make sense for Alyson to find him yet since she hasn't left Shim, but in the meantime I was wondering if I could go ahead and post an introduction in the thread. Would it be alright if I just left Isaac somewhere in Marn for her to find? As in, unconscious in an alleyway?

Alyson is in Marn - I'm sorry if that was not clear. She left Shim right after leaving Bela's mansion. She is in downtown Marn staying at a hotel there, and should be leaving soon to head to the hospital to find Metarie, so now would be a great time to jump in. Whether you want her to just stumble across Isaac in an alley or have her see the attack and perhaps try to intervene is up to you, but she would need a reason to go into the alley so if he is alone maybe semi-conscious and moaning might help attract her attention.

Isaac, since you are unconscious do you want us to skip you this round? Just let me know, and I will post getting us to the hospital so we can meet up with Metarie. But if you'd rather wake up before then and want to post that's fine too.

I was just deciding whether or not to make a very brief post, something like "Isaac continued to be unconscious.", but perhaps it would be more efficient to skip me until he's lucid again. Go ahead.

Brilliant use of the journal Alyson! This brings a whole new path of intrigue that I hadn't considered. To be honest, I never intended to use the journal as a key item in the plot. It wasn't until I started writing my first post that it just came up naturally as a 'prop' in the scene. I only listed it in Isaac's possessions because I thought it would be an alternative way to update his profile, but the fact that Alyson has it provides an interesting new dynamic to their dilemma. Obviously if it told her what Isaac was up to, he'd be finished right away, but it may be what tips her off down the road. I imagine it would make a large difference if Alyson learned the truth on her own, instead of from Isaac. But in violating Isaac's privacy, she'd be making herself even more of an enemy. Either way, the very existence of the journal adds a suspenseful element for all concerned.

That said, I suppose you might need to know what kind of information the journal actually discloses. Most of the passages would depict his life in Keltaris. There may be some mention of Samuel Dennison (Kamar), but the entries themselves would only date back to a year prior, and the journal is perhaps half-full. None of the information regarding his quest to kill Alyson would be enough to incriminate him outright, but the truth could be discovered if given the right clues.

I'm not sure whether or not Metarie would read it, maybe out of curiosity, or just to get a vague medical history, but there would be plenty of details regarding Isaac's spontaneous nosebleeds, headaches, nausea, and dizzy spells.

If anyone does decide to open the journal and sift through it, let me know and I'll PM you a few brief entries that they might land upon.

I would definitely have PM'd you before actually reading the journal, I just thought it would be interesting for Alyson to have it, in the off-chance that it might contain something about Isaac's mission. I was not planning on having her read it at the moment, and even considered having her simply return it to Issac, leaving him to wonder if she read it or not...

I agree, it adds an element of suspense that is interesting.

I think we have enough going to set a posting order - with the understanding that we may skip persons now and then should they be unconscious or irrelevant to the moment. I will always post here before skipping someone to make sure they don't have something planned.

Frug - as Willow is an NPC I listed you as Willow/Camulous/Bela, as you may want to bring Cam in with Metarie or use Bela at times.

Yup, sounds good.

Just a minor edit as it wasn't clear in my posts. The Marn Hospital is not like the big ones we have today. It's probably more like an entry/waiting area with the desk (where Ree was sitting), a room for storing patient files, and a set of 20 gurneys (so that they can be moved around as need) with curtains that can be pulled around the beds for privacy.

Isaac you will have to tell me (PM it if you want to keep it a surprise) if he is more than bruised and cut skin. Ree is using her healing abilities to search for what is wrong, but not applying healing magics yet.

Isaac has a bruised cheek and left rib, and a bloody nose, nothing life threatening. Metarie should also be able to sense something wrong with him, a disturbance in the force if you will, but there'd be no way to ascertain its source without speaking to him.

Should I post again for Alyson since Metarie was talking to her and Isaac is still unconscious? I don't want to skip you, Frug, just wanted to check and see if you wanted me to go ahead or if you had something for Willow to say/think/do. Or - if Isaac wants to wake up and say something before I post again let me know too.

Oh go ahead and skip me if you have the impulse to do so. I doubt you're going to auto me or do anything that I'd object to by posting out of sequence.

I agree with Frug. I'd also like to point out that Alyson is wearing a Green dress(?) and Isaac is wearing shoes, but their description shall be left at the discretion of whomever decides to write about them.
