Name: Blair

Race: Drow

Age: 37

Eyes: Dark Garnet

Hair: Snow White/ Black Streaks

Height: 5'3"

Weight: 106

Appearance:
Blair is small even by drow standards. He has white hair with black streaks and wears cloaks that hide his skin, due to his aversion to sunlight. His clothing has pockets of all sorts, and makes him look like he would have trouble even moving normally. He wears dark greens and browns.

Possessions:
Blair carries all sorts of lockpicks, and trap parts in his many pockets along with poison making ingredients. He has his trusty dagger stored away in his boot at all times and a saber strapped to his back and side. He wears a light chainmail suit under a thin layer of hide covered in cloth. He has a trusty steed named Grim.

Powers/Strengths:
Blair has the typical rouge abilities like lockpicking and trap-making but he excels in thievery, namely pick-pocketing. His been caught only once, by another rouge, and he still got away with the goods.

He is very poor with swords, wearing the sabers for mainly show but he is skilled in hand-to-hand and dagger use. He has an innate ability to see in almost complete darkness.

Being a drow he has a few magical powers, none that cause harm though:

Faire Fire: outlines enemies in a non-harmful magical flame.
Orb of Darkness: creates a orb, about 5 feet in diameter, of darkness.

Weaknesses/Flaws:
Blair is hot-headed and rushes in to things before really planning things out. He has a very small knowledge of battle, since his only experience is bar brawls. He is skilled in trap-making but his failure to plan things, due to his young age and inexperience, make that skill useless in some cases. He has trouble getting along with those of higher social standing and anyone prone to more lawful acts, leading to many run ins with the law. Also he wears lots of layers of clothing to counteract his aversion to sunlight, he cant move around as well during the daytime.

History:
Following in the legendary Drizzit Do'Urdens' footsteps, many drow have started to appear on the surface. Among these were Blairs' parents, settling on the fringes of the Ofriyu Mar. Blair always had an affinity for stealing things, starting out stealing from his parents then moving on to bigger things. He was always looking for the next big thing to steal. Even though his parents moved to the surface, they still had a hatred for their surface cousins, elves. This was passed down to Blair who just started hating people in general. After leaving home, Blair made a living as a highwaymen, traveling around, trying to avoid major confrontations. After a few years of that, Blair finally made his way to Marn, deciding that he needs to challenge his thievery and try stealing from a guard. Now the best place to find him is the tavern, or on the ground outside of it.

I tried to catch you in chat but you just so happened to pop in the moment I went afk. Well first of all, if it's okay with you I would like to shorten your username to just Blair, it fits in more with the setting.

Secondly, and this is a big one, drow isn't an accepted race here. Now you can play a drow-like character but as this setting isn't based of of D&D we don't accept their races (other than the standard races that can be found throughout various fantasy worlds.) Now if you want to play a dark skinned elf who just so happens to do make "bad" or "evil" choices that is fine, we just don't have a separate race for elves of different skin tones or different morals. In our opinion, that would be like saying humans of an African decent are a different race than those of a European decent because they have different colored skin. Plus we find it more than a little racist to associate these people (be the human, elves, dwarves, gnomes or others) as "good" or "evil" based on the color skin they were born with rather than the decisions that they have made over the course of their lives. It's your own personal moral decisions that decide how good or bad you are and not the color of your skin.

I would also like to point out that your history doesn't fit with what we have established with elves. For that I will refer you to what we have stated in the setting.
Elves

Next to the humans in numbers and political power are the elves. Although nobody can know for sure how elves, or any of the other races, were created during the Changers' War, it is commonly believed that elves are a sort of perversion of the human race. In fact, it is implicitly stated in the Tomes of the First Settlers - the spiritual and legal doctrine of Marn - that elves are a twisted form of humans.

Elves are naturally quite gifted in the magical arts and can "feel" a connection to various magical and natural forces. It is more common for an elf to be able to visit the astral plane while dreaming, and elves are in general more artistically talented and intelligent than humans, although this comes with inherent faults such as arrogance, emotional instability, and tendency for over-analysis.

The elves tend to be taller, quicker, and more dexterous than humans, however they suffer from a certain kind of inflexibility. Where humans come in all shapes and sizes, elves have a more homogenized phenotype which can limit their potential as a race.

Elves can live much longer than humans - up to three centuries - although in practice it is difficult to dodge death when the reaper comes knocking and most don't make it past 150. This holds especially true in the region of Thar Shaddin, where life is harsh and survival is more difficult than in the elven homeland of Darleone Island.
