Wants to be a Guard

Hello all.

I am in the process of making my character application, and I would like her to be part of the City Guard. But I don't want her to be a nobody, so I'm looking to work out relationships with characters that are already Guards so I can start her off strong.

Please post here if you're interested in helping me out.

Thanks!

Dragon,

Do you want Traherne to possibly name/take ownership of your character? I think it would be fun and work well with Trae, but I want to check with you before going in that direction.

Also Darius,

What direction are you looking to head your character in? Is he a bad guy or good guy? Should Trae form a compainionship with Darius?

Just so you guys know, one of the main arcs I want to put Trae through is changing her opinion on magic users. I want her to possibly (in the future) be forced in a situation where her magic is discovered. Do you think this is a plotline you guys will be willing to carry out? At least off and on?

There are many paths this could take us. Trae being discovered could just be very very bad for her, and she could become a villan OR she could head a revolution with all magic users, with the admins permission of course.

Let's talk about it.

Dragon was created for the sole purpose of being a parasitic character. Basically he goes with whatever is thrown at him, and since he's unnamed, Trae is free to come up with any name for him at all. She can take him wherever she wants for however long she wants; he'll stick to her like glue as long as she has food.

At far as the magic thing goes, I'm not sure what I could contribute to that but if you do come up with an idea of some sort involving Dragon then he's free for anything. Even death.

Hey guys,

Darius is a not an outright evil character, though he once was. He's redeemable, though even he isn't aware of it yet. Oh and Wynford has found a 'companion', he is a stranger in a strange land, and i for one would be glad to accompany you on an adventure.

As for dragon, I'll 'tolerate' the little bugger for now, might even feed him a scrap of food or two if he doesn't annoy. A pet dragon could come in handy... even if he's a miniature one. :)

There's someone dropping eaves on us, and i mean to find who. Maybe a fourth member to this merry little band.

It'd be great if there was some sort of quest we could go on at some point, some task to complete that would send us into the wild. Any ideas?

Sounds good, Dragon. I can surely find use in your character. He could be a unexpected hero, or simply lead them into more trouble.

We'll possibly be heading into a mission soon. The blind one eavesdropping on us has just wittnessed a murder, so we'll probably get swept up in that.

Hey you lot.

As far as magic goes, Cai does a form of it, or at least she appears to. With her herbs and stuff, she can do pretty much anything to her victims... and she has some rather disturbing ideas about getting her sight back. She''ll come out from hiding in my next post, which I'll get up tonight. Her accent is a little strang,e so if you need a translation I'll be glad to provide one. I think Iarei was going to possibly join up as well if that's all right--I was supposed to wait for her but I jumped the gun, bad me.

Cai herself is deathly terrified of gloves, so that might play a factor if anyone brushes her arm or whatever.

She's also dragging along knowledge of a murder, of course, but she doesn't really care about that because Gizmo is government property and it wasn't her fault. She's not all that moral, really.

I'm game for whatever. Cai's always wanted to get her sight back which would obviously involve magic, as eyes cannot be fixed by herbs and potions when they've been scalded with lye.

Hey everyone,

Ok, so I think Trae should take Cai into custody and find out about the murder somewhere along the way. Darius is already coming to HQ, so the only way I could think of getting Cai to go with them was by getting her to freak out on Trae, which is why I made Trae touch Cai with her gloved hand.

If this isn't a good plan, I'll change my post.

I agree. I've been checking back every day...

Darius, if no one posts by Monday, let's talk about moving on.

Actually how about today? Considering it will have been one week since anyone posted. We can leave Cai where she is, and she can catch up with us later.

Most people use our standard three days waiting period before skipping a person for not posting, sometimes a person needs more than three days and in which case they should contact the people they are posting with to let them know or they should post in the away thread, saying that they will be busy and that they need longer in order to post. You shouldn't have to wait a week or longer for somebody to post.

Okay then, sounds good to me. Darius, you can post whenever you're ready. Thanks for the heads up, Niabi.

Wait, is it my post? I've been waiting for Darius to post, because I thought I went after him...

All the aforestated plans are fine with me, but I'm pretty sure it's Darius's post. Just saying. If I was supposed to post and I didn't I'm really sorry, but... okay, on threat of being redundant, I'll shut up.
