How would Silas know he was anything but a very large wolf?

Silas might just be suspicious of a large wolf because he is in the woods looking for "man-killing monster."

The Guards have dealt with all sorts of magical creatures before. And Silas is a veteran. Besides. No wolf is five feet at the shoulder. Silas would know.
