Shabby Folk Slappin' Hands

"Oh, bother" seemed to be the theme of the day for Abmesh Gwaelei. He had barely managed to keep his hat on so far, and the fish, if that was, indeed, what they were, were being rather elusive. The fact that the act of fishing would be much more efficiently performed in frog form seemed to pass him by entirely, and he dumbly gritted his jaw upon the stick that boasted a wormed string dipping into the water, and tugged against whatever breathing or lifeless denizen of the Ofriyu Mar was offering this latest resistance.
"Oh, bother," he mumbled through clenched teeth as the line snapped. "Drat, drat, drat," he spat, the makeshift fishing rod clattering against his leverage rock. "I give up, this isn't going anywhere."

"May I be of some assistance?"
Mako looked down at the no bodied head that was trying to fish. Sitting down next to him he pulled out his staff and tied a string to it along with a hook and a worm found in the mud next to the creek.
He smiled as he took a deep breath and released. Lowering the pole the hook touched the water, causing a tinny ripple to grow into a circle that touched the edges of the land and spread up and down on the river.
"Ahh. Such beauty this is. Fresh air and clear water."
After a moment or two Mako felt a tug, waiting for a second tug he yanked it up right on time and pulled a good sized fish out of the water.
"Here you go."
Mako said as he pulled the fish off the hook and put it in front of the head.

Abmesh, whose mood had already been fouled by the day's efforts, did not take kindly to this ever-so-dexterous fellow. He glared at the fish placed before him, then up at it's catcher.
"And what am I supposed to do with this, hmmm? Headbutt it until it looks edible? I must say, sir, you've got some nerve!"

"My apologies, I didn't any disrespect."
He said as he pulled out another fish.
"I just needed to catch another fish, so I can cook them for us."
Mako gathered some wood, and got a small cooking fire going. Skewering the fish with a stick he got them tilted over the fire and cooking.
"If I may ask, if you were trying to catch a fish, what were you going to do with it after you caught it, stranger."

Abmesh had calmed somewhat, having spent the time staring at a particularly colourful flower on the far bank, and when Lazarus asked him the question, he shuffled around as best as he could, and looked up at him. Now, who is this fellow?
"I'm sorry, I don't understand the question. I wasn't fishing at all. Was I?"

"What I mean to say is, would you like it raw or would you prefer it cooked? And it looked to me like you were fishing; but I am never one to call someone a liar."
Mako smiled as he made a set up to where the strange head could eat his fish without any problem. Putting out the fire Mako, stood up and bid the head goodbye continuing his journey.
Iroh who was busy off somewhere else came up to the head stared at it for a couple of seconds, suddenly bit him on the nose and took off with his fish, chittering happily as he ran off to catch up with Mako.
