I often get comments from new applicants that they don't know where or how to begin, and the most important piece of advice I have to give is for you to introduce yourself and get to know the writers here.

So if you're joining up, post a reply here. Let us know who you are and whatever else about yourself that you like. What are your interests? What are you looking for in Thar? Do you want to start a plot, and if so, what about?

We do bite, but only because we want your blood.

Also, something I found immensely helpful, try jumping into chat. You'll get to know us, and we'll get to know you. Just a tip, but one I recommend to everyone.

Hello everyone, I too am new around here. Just wanted to say hello and I hope I get the chance to meet everyone and make some new role playing friends.

Greetings all! I was here once... ages ago... but real life took over and I was forced to retire my character, Aranel Nolatari. I was pregnant at the time, trying to balance work, pregnancy, etc.

Anyway I'm back - different character. Julen may remember me as we had started a thread together. (And if anyone is curious... I now have a daughter named Kyra who is 13 months old. I love being a mom!) Since I'm a stay-at-home mom now I have more time to post... so am looking forward to joining in somewhere here again!

Hello Everybody!

My internet name is Sampy and I play Cormear Torin, the unusually magically inclined, fifteen year old Gnome that works as the mischievous and troublesome busboy at the Drunken Rat *chuckles* Um, let me see. I have been participating in online role-playing games for the better part of twelve years now. Most of this experience has been devoted to the Star Trek simming-verse. However, I have dabbled in the affairs of Stargate (SG1 and Atlantis eras), X-Men and Harry Potter based simulations. Throughout my twelve years, I have had the opportunity to play almost every position imaginable and the highest rank I have achieved is captain. My favorite Trek roles to play are ships counselor, chief engineering officer, chief security officer (without the tactical attached *winks*) and, well, commanding officer. As I am taking a break from Trek role-playing games as of late, I am seeking to start fresh in this simulation community and contribute as best as I possibly can.

On a more personal note, Pug's are my favorite breed of dogs (I have an 11 year old Pug named Mr. Bailey), I love sunflowers and grape soda. Mmmm!

Hello Everyone. My name is Twitch. well at least thats my most common nickname, something about too much caffeine freshman year of college. Right now im finishing up my senior year at an engineering school, and looking to graduate and get a job.

I have been taking part in internet role playing games for... well about 4 or 5 years now. Everything from high fantasy to sci-fi, to horror and steam punk. have always had a blast with it, however every game I have been a part of has ultimately died from a lack of membership or interest, which has been quite sad over the years.

I just posted my character application last night. So I am waiting to get it approved and start playing. Theo is your typical half-elf out for revenge. Not the nicest character, but at the same time, you kind of need to malicious to cause some problems for the rest.
