Chat changes

Lyle (and zou, and anyone else who has trouble with the chat) yer gonna love this change. At least, I'm hoping it works correctly.

I've suppressed the porter's chat error messages, so he'll no longer say error: connection status 0.

Instead what I've done is put a little green box on the top right of the chat window that blinks red when the chat is loading. It SHOULD blink red once every three seconds. IF the chat fails to get a signal, then the box will stay red until it has gotten an OK signal. If it stays red for too long, you'll know chat has died.

No more wondering if your chat is dead!

If it works right, it might get added to the next version of chat (in a less ugly form presumably).

Sweet. It'll also let us know if we're lagging, right, and not just being ignored?

It will indeed. So far it seems to work as intended.

You can now click on the little loading icon to force chat to retry the connection.

So, if you see the loading animation spinning around and around and never stopping, and chat might be lagging, just click on the icon. It won't refresh the page, but it will re-send an update request.
