Name: Maizah Levana

Species: Human

Age: 26

Height: 5'8"

Physical appearance: She has stark-white hair and crystal green eyes embedded in a round, near-cherubic face. Her upper eyelids sit low on her eyes, though she lacks circles underneath to indicate exhaustion. Her eyes are set just wide enough and her nose and mouth just small enough to give her a perpetual dreamer's stare, giving the impression that while one was speaking with her she may be listening to several other voices at once and floating listlessly between the sounds. Her figure is filled out but not enough to make her curves obnoxious, merely natural.

Personality: Maizah's demeanor matches her gaze. She has a light, airy voice and does not appear to fully focus on any one idea or conversation, instead wafting between several different thoughts simultaneously. She speaks slowly and deliberately, often moving her hands in fluttery patterns along with her speech.

History: She was born and raised within Marn. Her odd sense of detachment started at an early age and became more erratic as she grew. Her parents would often find her staring intently at walls, chairs or other inanimate objects. Worried for her mental state, they sent her to the asylum, where she spent the better part of her youth. She moved between asylum and home, eventually developing the ability to communicate beyond whatever walls were delaying her before. Although she never fully developed the ability to focus, she is able to align enough of herself into conversation to participate. She was discharged from the asylum at 21 and provided with a small apartment by her parents, complete with furnishings. She never stepped foot within it; she disappeared before ever reaching the building.

Abilities:

Communication with Objects: Maizah has the very curious ability to hear the conversations which flow around at all times - carried on by the inanimate objects which surround us every day. She can hear and decipher the language spoken by these objects, picking out important bits of information from their various ramblings.

Leadership: Despite her lack of focus, or perhaps because of her inability to fully process what she is observing or discussing, she is capable of presenting herself in a strong capacity, if not fully present.

Weaknesses:

She cannot move faster and is not stronger than a human of the same build and frame.

Her mental distance is perpetual and can lead her to miss happenings around her while she shifts through the multitude of voices within her head.

Name: Judeah, often shortened to Jude

Species: Elf

Age: 67

Height: 6'2"

Physical appearance: She has the customary large orbs for eyes which dominate her facial features. Her head is long and lanky, and her body extends beneath her to match this trend. Her fingers dangle in thin strips from her hands, and the bits of leg flashing through the slits in her tattered skirt are knobby and spindly. Her arms drip bare and thin from angular, thin shoulders. While she is thin, one could not call her delicately slender, as her bones protrude at nearly every joint. Both hair and eyes are a mixture of an odd hazel-green which bespoke of a natural streak, just enough to make her nearly alien to look upon. Both eyes and ears end in sharp points.

While thieving she will most often wear an entirely black outfit, both to conceal her identity and more easily hide in dark areas.

Personality: Judeah is a snide firecracker with a foul temper. She is easily provoked into a rage, though her association with Nell and Maizah has forced her to learn to douse her more immediate responses.

History: Judeah began as a common thief, a profession she took to for no other reason that the desire to steal. Her bony frame made it easy for her to slide into small crevices to hide herself, and this gave her an advantage over her unfortunately endowed competition. She took odd jobs at random as well as thieving for herself out of necessity.

Her mother died while Judeah was young, leaving her father to do the best he could. He was a good man with good intentions who found himself with a difficult and unruly child who refused his moral code. After she left home to begin her career as a thief, she returned to the house once to find her father gone, having moved and given up on his child.

Three years later she encountered him again as the subject of her latest heist. She broke into the home with practiced ease and found herself in a near-immediate scuffle with the owner. In the moonlight, she could not see who it was she had knifed to save herself from death, but her own father's face stared blankly up at her when she turned on the lights. As the life ebbed and finally died from his eyes, she found herself amazed at the total lack of remorse she felt for the deed, and came to the conclusion that she clearly needed to continue in this line of work. She completed the job and abandoned the body to its fate, vanishing again into the seedy underground of Marn.

Abilities:

Species-related - Heightened sense of hearing and smell as well as sharper vision.

Minor healing - she is capable of fixing smaller to medium-severity wounds. This ability is merely functional, a sort of useful tool that she uses to keep herself and her comrades in close-to-top shape, or to assist in the repetitive torture of a subject.

Thievery - She is able to slip into small corners and areas, provided it is high enough, and conceals herself with relative ease. She can move swiftly and quietly.

Weaknesses:

She cannot move faster and is not stronger than a human of the same build and frame.

She cannot turn invisible, thus there is always the chance to be spotted if she is creeping about.

Her increased sensitivity to sights and noises makes her more vulnerable to sudden bursts of light or sudden loud noises.

Her healing is a limited ability; she cannot heal larger wounds and more complex wounds may be healed but not necessarily well.

Her temper is still present and active, making it easier to provoke her into a fight or confrontation.

Character Name: Nell

Age: 32 years

Gender: Female

Race: Spider shifter - brown recluse

Height: 5'3"

Eye color: Extremely light brown, nearly white.

Hair: Coarse and abrasive to the touch. It lies flat against the top of her head, and she keeps the length cropped to just above her ears. There is the occasional bald spot on her scalp where she has torn a clump of hair herself.

Appearance: Her face is round, squat and shrunken, with a prominent nose in the center. Her lips are thin, though should she smile she has dimples on either side of her mouth. Her ears are small and barely stick out from her head. Her entire body is squat and rounded, bulging in odd areas which indicate that she is overweight for her size. The clothing she wears varies in style, size and fit depending on the job she is performing. She is missing her smallest toe on either foot.

Occupation: Assorted odd jobs including spying, tracking, thievery and assassinations. She will accept nearly any job without any questions beyond the details needed to carry out the mission.

Personality: Direct, business-like and to the point. She does not enjoy idle prattle or friendly banter. She does not mingle casually with others or keep close friends, only contacts to be abused. She only indulges in human company while on a mission if necessary. She will often use assorted insect larvae for various purposes.

Abilities:

Shifting: She is able to freely shift between the form of a brown recluse spider (or a small swarm of brown recluse spiders) and her human form, however her primary shifting ability lies in her capability to shift a segment of her body into one spider. For example, if she were to cut off a finger, she could cause this appendage to shift into a spider. The separated spider may only live a maximum of one hour separated from her body, and she cannot regenerate the piece lost if the spider dies unless it was something renewable. Because of this, she uses clumps of hair instead.

Poison: The venom of a brown recluse is extremely painful and able to dissolve flesh down to the bone. Although the venom naturally will not have the effect on every person, she has cultivated her own body's poison until the worst effect possible is guaranteed with each bite. This venom is not immediately deadly; it would take approximately 15-20 bites to kill a large man. However, it only takes one bite to create the flesh-dissolving reaction, normally within 5-10 minutes due to her cultivation of the ability.

The poison itself damages a large section around the bite itself. It will burn while creating a large boil, which eventually bursts and scabs over. The symptoms include fever, chills, nausea and vomiting, along with muscle tissue damage. This venom causes extensive damage and does dissolve flesh down to the bone. For examples, see the following link. Please be aware that these images are graphic:

Essentially what is depicted over the span of 10 days would happen in the course of minutes.

Torture: She is adept at torture, primarily using her venom to create wounds which she then focuses further torment upon.

Weaknesses: Her swarming form cannot last more than an hour, and if spiders are killed in this form she cannot regenerate the segments of herself destroyed. The spiders are every bit as vulnerable as a regular spider - for example stepping on them will kill them.

Her human form is as vulnerable as any other human form. Her bones are somewhat brittle and may break more easily than a regular human.

She is not always patient and can make errors due to feeling that particular measures are a waste of time and rushing forth on a project or mission.
