Character Rewrite

I am going to be making some pretty major rewrites to my main character soon. Some of his background history, general area where he grew up, that sort of thing. In short, replacing the rather rustic setting of his background with something more like the Holy Roman Empire.

The reasons I am announcing this rather than just doing it.

1 - It makes some previous post seem mildly silly, such as talking about his background, and using his name.

2 - Linguistic structure means I'll use this chance to change the name to something more regional-appropriate and less awkward.

I'm also going to use this as a chance to tone down some of his armour and stuff like that, so there is room to earn High Gothic Armour at a later date (I want his eventual sword and armour to have some history behind them).

Main significant changes thusfar for those who care.

New suitably Germanic name: Karzomir Von Greyssen.

Armour adjusted to plated maille (maille reinforced with metal plates on the maille itself) and a sparrowbeak helmet. Let him earn better armour later on. :P

Modified his abilities to more traditionally paladin-like and less outright powerful.

Now working on new history for him. Hope to be done soon.

Are you sure enough about the name that we should start using Karzomir instead of Aorle in our posts, or are you still thinking about it?

I used Aorle in my most recent post in spite of our conversation because I wasn't sure the status of the switch (plus I didn't want to confuse the hell out of Jules.)

Sure, thank you. Sir Karzomir Von Greyssen, at your service. *bows* :P

Why does every fake German (or Germanic, yes oh-pedantic-one) name have "von" in it?

Major von claptrap...

Von is German for 'of' and historically marked the individual out as one of the nobility.

Peasants and burghers did without the Von. Poor them. :P

Thank you Mr. Data.

I gotta watch less Star Trek. But you remind me of him. A lot.

Dude, it took me a month to stop calling him Railtus. You're trying to kill me! :P

Seriously, all the changes sound good so far. As long as he can still heal and sense echoes, I'm happy.
