Player Name: Xyon

Name: Julian Daniels

Age: 25/25

Race: Human

Height: 6' 0"

Weight: 9st 9lb

Physical Description:

Julian looks like your average human. Black hair adorns the top of his head whilst his blue eyes shine from underneath the strands of hair which lazily droop over his features. Slightly unremarkable, Julian is the kind of guy you could just walk past in the street and not look twice.

Tall and thin, he has very little body fat, what minimal training he does having burnt it off and keeps it off, as well as adding a little muscle. He usually wears black, it being his favourite colour.

Posessions:

One guitar, black and made of ebony. The strings are made from strewn sheep gut. A longsword, unremarkable and unadorned. It is not named. A coin purse, containing 400 bishani,to start with, as he was just paid.

He owns a small house in the city, residential district.

Powers or Strengths:

Julian is skilled with the guitar, it being his main passion. He regularly plays at a few of the clubs in the city, and from this he brings home a regular income of around 400 Bishani per month. The music he plays is quite influential, and it's influence can vary on people depending on the type of music.

It should be pointed out that this is not magic, and the influence is mainly to people's moods. He can cause someone to feel SLIGHTLY happier, sadder, more energetic etc. by playing music.

Weaknesses:

Julian is not really a fighter. He knows the basic swordsmanship techniques, but he relies mainly on avoiding confrontation to stay alive. Where he to face off in a real fight, he would likely lose.

History:

Born to parents Alan and Alexandra, Julian Daniels has lived his entire life in Marn. He had a fairly sheltered upbringing, and very little harm came his way. His father played the guitar for a living, occasionally going on tours, and was rarely at home.

At the age of seven, his father started to teach him to play the guitar. It was his lifelong passion, and Alan wanted to pass it on to his son. Julian initially resisted, because he hated the guitar. He saw it as the instrument which took his father away, the thing that drove his parents to argue.

Eventually, however, he warmed to the concept, because Alan spent a lot more time with him when he was trying to learn to play. To that end, he learnt to play, and eventually he and his father were able to travel on tour together, and play at the clubs in Marn.

When he was 15, Alan died, of natural causes. He'd suffered a heart attack in the night, and Alexandra awoke screaming, finding his body cold in the morning. Julian took it hard, and swore never to play the guitar again, because it reminded him of his dad.

The following spring, the manager from the Central Inn approached him whilst he was drinking in the pub. He asked what had become of Alan, and when Julian told him, he was surprised how little it affected him. The manager of the pub offered him a regular spot as entertainment, and he left to consider it.

Taking up the guitar again was fairly easy; his rusty skills were sharp within days, and he was soon wowing the crowds and making money.

Last year, he married, and moved out of his mother's house, and into a larger, family home with his wife, Jennifer. A week after they had moved in, there was a knock at the door.

Julian answered it, and was amazed to be presented with a box, containing his father's old ebony guitar. Even after ten years, the material was still as sheened and well-polished as ever. The deliverer was none other than his boss.

He explained that Alan had always kept the instrument in the rooms above the tavern, lest his mother break it in a fit of anger. He had hung onto it for years, waiting for Julian to be ready to play it, and saw it as the perfect wedding gift.

Julian has played with this guitar since he got it, and now draws large crowds in the tavern on those evening he plays.
