My hamster Devlin died and there's been a lot of shit happening, and it's been piling up, and I can't seem to find the spirit to post. I really hope I will tomorrow, or something, but I thought I'd let you guys know in case I didn't and I took too long.

:flail: :sorry:

I'm sorry to hear about your pet, honey. I hope things start looking up again soon.

That's rough. It always hurts a lot to lose a pet. Do something nice for yourself if you get a chance.

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear that. Losing a pet is wretched. :( My sympathies.

:(

Well, it's been a busy week for me too, so don't worry about posting. I only posted that you were next b/c we have a kind of difficult post order in the Skull and I am trying to keep track of it.

Hamsters are cool. Did you bury him and stuff?

... :( I love animals too much. *hides*

Yeah, I buried him in the foresty area behind my house. I still feel really sad about it. He was my first pet who I alone cared for and the one that trusted me above everyone else. He was just so adorable, too. I feel like its my fault. He had a cyst or tumor in his stomach, but I thought he was just getting fat because he wasn't running so much. I thought he wasn't running as much because he was getting old. It was actually all because of the cyst. I should have taken him to a vet when I realized something was up, but instead I explained it away.

I get more attached to animals than humans. It's like one of my friends died or something. A lot of people find that ridiculous, but that's how I feel.

Thanks for the hug smilies and condolences, guys (^_^)

Don't feel bad. It's really hard when an animal you cared for yourself passes away.

I'm glad you got to bury him, though.

Nothing ridiculous about it. Pets ARE friends.

Hindsight is 20/20, we both know if you really knew something was up, anything, you would have visited the vet straight away. Try not to blame yourself. I know that is not easy, we seldom have complete knowledge of events.

If you need anything let me know.

Yeah, what Railtus said. You did lose a friend. Nothing ridiculous about it.

It's impossible to know with 100% certainty when our animals are sick, when they're healthy, when they need the vet, and when they don't, because they can't tell us. All you can do is take care of them as best you can and love them a lot-- both of which you obviously did. I know it's hard when something like this happens, but try not to be too hard on yourself. You did the best you could.

I'm sure your hamster was very happy with you. And what more could a hamster ask for?

Sentiments echoed. I've know enough bastards in my life... animals are better friends, sometimes. And pets are part of the family. I lost two dogs last year, and it still upsets me now. I'd honestly be less sad if my mum died.

Honestly.

I still miss my bordercollie, Kona. She died in 2004.

She was loving, smart, and very gentle. My wee boy could do nothing to her that warranted a snapping of teeth. The most she ever did was give him a serious licking.
I've lost a few pets over the years. For pet owners, they're a part of the family.

Hugs and all that stuff...

Thanks you guys. I REALLY appreciate it. You guys have shown me more sympathy than anyone else I know.

A lot of bad things have happened, but above all I got some horrible news. I've lost all desire, will, and energy to post. I'm so sorry to the people I was roleplaying with. TS has seemed like years away from me and it's been what, a week? I'm not sure what's happening, whether I'm leaving or will regain myself, but I'll let you guys know. Hopefully am not leaving, but I do have to bow out of my posts for the time being. Skip me for awhile in The Skull and the Hand, maybe move on if I take too long--I don't want to hold you guys back. Hell, throw her in a dungeon cell and if I come back I'll have a pickle to get her out of. Whatever.

As for Asiona, you can make an escape however you want. Auto, whatever lameness ("and then he walked away "), doesn't matter too much.

Luckily Raishel isn't involved in anything.

If someone else wants to compile the "character interview" thing that's fine, too. Everyone seemed mildly interested.
