Why so serious? (celebrity death within)

Ok, now I'm not someone who is normally bothered by a celebrity death. Yeah it's sad when someone dies and all, but at the same time it's very VERY rarely someone that I like and therefore doesn't really affect or bother me.
I thought the person who told me that Heath Ledger had been found dead was joking because they knew I was a fan of his. I was like haha you're so funny hah. Yeah...not so much. I really liked this actor dammit! Why?!
RIP Heath Ledger. I really liked you in The Patriot and A Knight's Tale and Monster's Ball and Brokeback Mountain.

I echo Jess's statements totally. His death is actually really upsetting to me--recently learning about his interpretation of the role of the Joker for Dark Knight underscored for me his really impressive range. He was beautiful, but not a pretty boy, and only in the past few years has he gotten attention for his real acting skills. I guess 10 Things I Hate About You didn't really showcase his abilities. Ha, that is one of those incredibly lame movies that girls can't help but adore.
But really--I was watching Brokeback Mountain again recently, and trailers for Dark Knight, and I actually was thinking to myself "Wow, I really look forward to seeing what Heath Ledger does with the rest of his career, because he's still going to kick ass when he's 50." SAD!

You are so not wrong. 10 Things etc. is so very lame and yet I love it and own it. When she stands at the front of the class and reads her poem and starts breaking down I'm right there with her...
*hides face in shame*

It might be wrong of me, but I kinda feel bad that he won't be playing the joker again if they have another Batman movie.
But also, damn good actor, and I hope it wasn't truly suicide.
