Player Name: Ice
Name: Raishel Munden
Age: 29
Race/Gender: Female Half-elf (Both human and elf lineage)
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 100 lbs at most
Eye color: Honey brown
Hair color: Raven black
Skin color: White
Face: The graceful angles of the elves and the gentle roundness of her human ancestors have blended on her face. She has high cheekbones that protrude even more from the effect of her sunken cheeks. Her eyebrows are very straight and delicate, however, and her chin is rounded. The dark circles under her eyes and the wasted look of her overall face make her eyes look very big, and disconcerting when she appears to stare.
Body type: Very small, thin, and frail-looking, due to her low weight and short stature.
Overall appearance: Raishel is a walking corpse with a skeleton body, bleached white by the darkness of her prison. She stands and sits with hunched shoulders, as if caved in upon herself. Wiry, black hair sticks up around her head. If it was straightened, it would fall down her back, but knots keep it in a teased shape around her head. Wildly staring eyes characterize her gaunt face, made all the bigger by her sunken cheeks. Dark circles linger around the brim of them and make her honey-brown irises seem blacker. Overall, she looks as disturbed as she is.

Belongings/Place: The robes of the mental institution are the only clothes she has. She doesn't own anything, though by inheritance she probably has riches lined up for her, if she was capable of taking them.

Powers:
Her visions tell her things. Sometimes the information is about someone she meets, personal or otherwise. Sometimes it is completely useless, or completely false. All of it is randomized. There is no reliability from her visions, and therefore is not really an applicable power. However, it does come in handy. She is an intelligent person, able to piece things together, but she doesn't have the ability to share this knowledge with others except in subtle, inappropriate ways. Often, magic or abilities are what she detects about people, usually represented to her in an exaggerated form. However, flash backs, thoughts, secrets, and other things appear to her, too.

About Raishel: The Raishel behind the insanity is a kind, wise woman who loves human contact and small pets. The only problem is the insanity masks it most of the time. She's also ignorant of how the world really is, and may even regard anything she doesn't know about as another phantasm created by her mind. She doubts all she sees, but in a way can't help reacting to any stimuli, whether real or imagined. Raishel can still understand others' speech (if she hears it correctly) and likes to try to hold a conversation whenever possible. She is also capable of reading and writing during rare moments of clarity, though, as usual, what she writes makes no sense. She's also a very joyous, happy person who likes to sing, play, and joke.

History: As a baby of the esteemed Munden family, Raishel was the prize of the nobility. She was a prize to her parents especially, being the first born to them. That is, until she learned to talk. She had always been a fussy, but normal baby. Then, as she learned to talk, she wouldn't talk "normally." Her sentences became more and more bizarre, and more and more distorted. They hired language teachers, tutors, professionals, anyone they could find, but no one could "fix" their little girl's speech. She was deemed to be mentally retarded and was then pitied by the whole family.

Soon, the bizarre, distorted babbling coming from the girl became darker and more disturbing. She began throwing hissy fits at random or at extremely bad times, like during visits from the other nobility. What she said made no sense, and her panic and anger seemed completely misplaced. They took her to doctors and even, in secret, witches, but neither could find a cure for her incessant "acting out" fits.

Then the former precious angel of the Munden family refused to eat or sleep, causing strained tensions throughout the household. Her caretaker and nurse both reported dozing only to wake up to the little girl staring fixedly at them while they slept with her, sometimes even while sitting across the room. Because of this refusal to eat and sleep, Raishel grew into a withered child.

Unable to stand the constant torment of having a failed child around, her father arranged for her to live in the asylum for the rest of her life. There, she would be fed and cared for, he said, where others could better understand her. Her mother refused, but had no power to stop him from sending her away. The household was ordered to keep their mouths shut, and as the years passed the city stopped wondering what happened to the crazy little Munden girl.

In the Marn Asylum, Raishel was an interesting case to Dr. Greydock. Much like the doctors and witches had, he tried various drugs and herbs on her to see if there was any effect. He also tried conversing with her and writing long notes about her behavior. Over the years, the things she said became more and more remarkable in his eyes; she seemed to know things that a person, locked up since age seven, could not possibly know. Or perhaps he read too deeply into her babbling.

Her mother still visits her every week, bringing her treats and still trying to care for her daughter. Mrs. Munden has not lost the sense that Raishel is still a dear part of the Munden family, despite all her other relatives denying her existence. She doesn't know what Dr. Greydock suspects, and has no idea what could be plaguing her once-healthy, albeit only shortly so, daughter.

In this way Raishel lived for twenty-two years, alone for most hours in a dark room of the asylum. If she was good, she would be able to go on walks by the riverside and around the Asylum. Still refusing to eat, but being forced to so she has just enough to survive, she is an anorexic, creepy-looking woman.

On one of her "good walks," a usually calm time for Raishel, she suddenly broke loose from the caretakers, a Sam and Whitney, and dashed away with amazing speed and agility for one in her condition. Not sure of what to make of being outrun by a crazed, starved woman, the two reported the escape and started a search. She had headed right for the city, but the search turned up dry. Not sure of where she could be but sure of the fact she couldn't get far, they gave up the search and tried to alert the guardsmen. The Guard doesn't deem Raishel a threat and have too much on their hands to organize any sort of search or warrant for her capture.

The only two who are worried and know of her escape are Mrs. Munden and Dr. Greydock. The Munden family does not know of her breakout, and certainly most citizens don't either.

Extra tidbit: She has two siblings who are ignorant of her existence, two boys, one of which was born while Raishel still lived with the rest of the family (26 years old). The other was born shortly after she was gone (22 years old). She also has numerous cousins, uncles, aunts, and grandparents.
