You've all seen them: those Harry Potter inspired every flavor Jelly Belly jelly beans. Well a woman had them at work today and asked who was daring.

I said what the hell, it's just candy. I closed my eyes and held out my hand and told her to give me whatever she wanted.

The taste still hasn't left my mouth, and it is DISGUSTING. I've tried winterfresh gum, green tea, another jelly bean flavored like grape jelly (which was pleasant).

It's been over an hour now, little jelly bean. Please go away

*makes some off hand comment about the beans tasting just like what inspired them*

I know the books are good, but that bandwagon needs to end.

I rented a DVD about candy from the library. (What? I like to watch shows about candy while I exercise. What's counterproductive about that?) Anyway, they had a segment where the people at Jelly Belly explained how they developed the vomit flavored jelly bean. Apparently they took the formula for their old pepperoni pizza flavored jelly bean (which had not gone over so well, for some reason) and added a hint of vinegar. Yummy!

Hah! I think it's kind of cool that a book could inspire candy. Like Willy Wonka. Though, I think it's mostly based on the movie, but that was inspired by the book, anyway.

Despite my semi-approval, I have no intentions of ever trying vomit-flavored ANYTHING. Gross. It was quaint in the book, though. Might be a funny gag gift... Really, other than that, we don't need all the other collectible crap for Harry Potter or any other movie.

Last night I had the pleasure of vomiting due to beer consumption.

Man, that jelly bean killed me.
