Diar ez Mair
Posted: Mon Oct 15, 2007 10:21 pm
Player Name: Vamp_Slayer ( Vamp for short)
Name: Diar (Pronounced “dye are”) ez Mair.
Age: 16
Race: Human
Height: 5’ 11”
Weight: 160 lbs.
Physical Description: Diar is young and boyish looking. He has black hair and light brown eyes. Forearms and shins have several scars from training and sparing matches. His general attire is a pair of tennis shoes, blue jeans, and a black T-shirt. He has a slight muscular build. He hides his strength and is often underestimated as a weakling.
Possessions: Because of Diar’s accidental appearance in Pal Tahrenor, he came here only with the clothes on his back and his sword.
Powers or Strengths: Teleportation, flight, soul seeker, strength exceeding his size and stature, advanced fighting and swordsman skills. Cannot die a natural death (though he does not know it, as he ages he can revert back to his younger self, hence never growing old and dieing, can be killed by other means). His sword (a katana) is called Chaos, the imperfect blend of “good” and “evil” (or imperfect blend of “yin” and “yang”, etc.) Because of the sword’s imbalanced nature it will often have a mind of its own. Diar can summon Chaos, but the sword does not always do as commanded so Diar often will just carry it on his back. Chaos can shift from its katana form to its saber form. In this form its powers are amplified but Diar’s control over it is drastically reduced. Chaos saber’s appearance is the hilt of a katana, but the “blade” is a glowing mass of energy in the relative shape of a scimitar. Diar only used Chaos saber when it is absolutely necessary. Diar also has other powers given to him from his brother that he has no use or knowledge of.
Weaknesses: Lack of experience and little control over magical powers. Teleportation is limited to a few hundred yards at most, but often several feet. He also has trouble hovering off the ground. He needs to meet the person/owner of the soul for him to find it, or it has to be pointed out to him (ex: someone could tell him it will be the most powerful person in a given area).
History: Diar was formed in the world of Meair. He was created when his older “brother”, Mair, accidentally split his soul in two. The smaller piece of soul was turned into Diar ez Mair. This translates to “forgotten memory of Mair”, though literally Mair is translated into memory, it is used not as the word memory, but the name of his brother.. Diar was given his name because Mair had not memory of the event Diar was raised as Mair’s younger brother and had all of his powers, but none of the control. Like his older brother he was immortal, as long as he regenerated back to a younger state before growing old and dieing, though he could still be killed by other means. He was never told of this monk’s that raised him and his brother. When Diar was seven his brother, mastering most of his power, disappeared. Diar vowed to control his powers and find his brother. The years past and he still couldn’t control his magical powers. So instead he took up fighting and swordsmanship. He became very good in them. He was given Chaos, the polar opposite of his brother’s Twilight, at the age of fifteen. After a year of practicing with Chaos he had become quite good with it, though he still had barely any control over its saber form. This encouraged him to take back up his magical abilities. When he was practicing his teleportation one day he messed up. Really messed up. His intention was to teleport across a small field. Instead he teleported into a new dimension. Out of the world of Meair, and into the world of Pal Tahrenore. He entered Pal Tahrenore with only a few supplies (some food and water) and some gold in his pocket. Raised my monks he had not use for money, but he knew the concept of it, and kept it with him in case of emergencies. He entered Pal Tahrenore on border of Caelteth Eyrop.
