My Squirrel

So this fat gray squirrel has been hanging around my family for a while now. At first it just hung around for a day, and a week later it came back. Then it started hanging around for long periods of time for no reason. We weren't feeding her or anything, she'd just run circles around us, crawl around on the chairs and stuff. By this point we can pet her, although I freak out when she makes like she's going to jump on my head.

I named her Cherub, or Cherry.

Awww... cute. There are no squirrels here at all, and I miss them. Cherub is adorable. :)

The only reading I ever get done is outside in the afternoon when it's nice. That's how I met her actually, she assaulted me when I was trying to read.

Wow... Frug has a face. :| And a body...

Squirrels are evil. If Foamy has taught us anything, it is that they are evil... >_>

That's adorable! I wish the many squirrels we have in our neighborhood were friendly. Too many hawks and cars for them to relax, though. However, the other day one was lazily laying on our front porch. It was cute, and it was probably because it's freaking hot outside and the bricks were cooler than the air. They also like to sit on the metal holder thing (for the hose, but we don't use it) that's nailed to a tree in our front yard. I need to get a picture of that...

If you can get a picture of it sitting on your head, that would probably be the single most awesome thing you have ever done.

And you've done some awesome things.

Thanks for that, Pagusel...

Ice, it's only the gray squirrels that ever get this cool. The black ones are quick, dirty, fidgety little bastards and I'm not sure about the red ones but they hide more.

I could probably get her on my head, but I don't think I want to try.

The American grey squirrel was introduced to our country and has killed the red squirrel so it is now and endangered species.

I told you... squirrels are EVIL. :|

Here are some nutty squirrel facts anyways... whoo...

The American grey squirrel (Sciurus Carolinensis)
First introduced to Britain at Henbury park, Cheshire, in 1876, and introduced to other areas around the UK in the 1920s.
From these sites the squirrel population grew, and as it did, the red squirrel population began its decline.
There are no definite facts as to why the two species cannot live together, but it appears that the greys have a greater ability to compete for food. The only advantage that the reds have is their supremacy in conifer forests.

The British red squirrel population is estimated at 161 000 - 10 000 in Wales, 30 000 in England, and 121 000 in Scotland.
The grey squirrel population is estimated at 2 520 000, with two million in England.
In England, greys outnumber reds by 66:1.

:\ well, I still like the gray ones best. She is kinda fat, and I wonder how she manages to compete high in the tree gymnastics, but on the ground she scares away the leaner black ones somehow.

That's probably because she is fat :p

American way of thinking, I think. Seeing as the grey squirrel is American.... I think.

She's so cute! I finally get to see pics! Eee!

I love all squirrels. We had albino squirrels at my college; they were adorable.

Hey pb, when it says they were "introduced," do they mean "some asshole released his pets" or "our government did something moronic?" God knows all governments have introduced something retarded into the environment for moronic reasons. I'm looking at you, Kudzu! To stop erosion indeed.
