So, I'm sure you know this, but since it's been even LONGER now than your usual eight or nine day posting period . . . it's your post, Frug. Look sharp, soldier.

Sorry to keep you guys waiting on my reply.

As I already said, I am out of town. However, contrary to what I said, internet is NOT readily available, partly because I forgot my laptop cord, and partly because of really bad weather (bad storms here, tornados and flash floods nearby) making the internet service very patchy.

I apologize for the delay, but should have something for you guys soon. :)

Edit to add: Jasmina ran away in this post, so Dorcas seeing her running still makes sense. That would be Jasmina's natural reaction, but it just worked out nicely, I thought. She'll turn up again later; she isn't gone for good, obviously.

Oh god, how weird. I really don't know why, but I could have sworn Jasmina was running away in your post, which is why I wrote it that way. No excuses for me.

No, remember, I edited it? I posted about that in this thread. ;) She was running away in the original version. :)

Anyway, it all lines up again now.

Frug, Frug, Frug . . . always jumping the gun for the sake of action! I had an idea for someone living there . . . I think I'm still going to introduce her. She'll be your gnome's . . . landlord or something.

What? You have to tell me. I needed something to do in my post.

I thought you were clear on it when I was SAID "I'm putting this door and stuff here because I have a plot idea." Maybe--maybe--I didn't specify that I was going to throw in a character, but yeah . . . that was gonna be part of it. Still is, now I just have your stinky old gnome to deal with! He's all "codswallop!" and I'm like "Hey buddy this is Keltaris, not AUSTRALIA. Go back to the GNOME BUSH."

So I thought I did tell you. I assumed you just forgot as usual . . . since you let a lot of TIME pass. Maybe keep things fresher in your mind next time. So there!

Also--Mina's turn to post??

Well, I remember you saying you had plans, but I didn't know how far or what. I needed something to post for you, beyond cervantes just walking inside. I have some ideas for the gnome, but I don't care if you derail it with whatever you want to do. It's a workshop, suitably ridiculous and gnomish. He was gonna have Chrish run some tests on locks to pay rent. But again, I don't consider him a real npc and you can do what you want.

Sorry it took so long! Lots of call-in shifts at work and also wanting to make the introduction of this character work.

I left the gnome to you. The hermit lady and him share a duplex! Then you can have your suitably ridiculous gnomish workshop and I can have the incensey home I was planning. I think we could actually formulate something pretty wicked with this--once I get into what my lady character is stirring up, a workshop full of ridiculosity might be just the ticket to PLOT MADNESS. The Keltaris odd couple.

It could yeah.

In the long run my only vague semblance of a plan was to have the gnome successfully make a lock chrish couldn't get through. Somehow, that could be a device to use later. Other than that I'm wide open.

Sorry for my posting delay, guys. I've been applying and interviewing for jobs like mad, and that hasn't really left much mental energy for posting.

I'm working on one as we speak.

I have a plan . . . I'm building AMBIANCE. So . . . if you think it's not going anywhere, it's just because I can't have Berbiezu do TOO many things in one post without totally having her talk for like ten minutes straight without you getting any actions in. Just in case you're feeling antsy . . . ambiance.

Maybe I'm way off base, but I imagine this song to be Salliniari's theme . . .
(It's also the opening credits to Dexter, and it's a neat opening sequence, even if unrelated to Salli)

And if that's Salliniari's theme, then THIS is the totally cheesed up Street Fighter style theme when the Xianian starts kicking ass and pulling off wicked riffs:
