Very well.
I HAD an RL nickname... but nobody bothers using it anymore.
Happy?

Not sure if I have explicitly said it, but making certain.
Aorle is mine, MINE I TELL YOU! No other writer gets to use him! You want him so badly, invite me to write with you. So there.

I forgot about this thread, but since Railtus reminded me by posting in it...
I would not personally object to Uluki being used in other people's stories, as long as she remained in character. (Though that may be easier said than done, as various people have said in the past that no one but me understands her, and that may be a fair comment.)
But...
The thing is, too much of what makes up Uluki is not from me for me to be able to authorize its use as a general policy. The vast majority of Uluki's history was hammered out in collective storytelling, and I'm not even sure how much I can really claim to own.
I guess what it comes down to is if you want to use Uluki, talk to me first so I can make sure all the people who contributed to whatever you want to do are OK with it.

I never did reword the copyright notice. All that's written about it is here
http://www.tharshaddin.com/rules.html#copyright
I should add a clause that profiles with a note in them about copyrights are not free to use. I'll do it tomorrow if I remember, when i'm awake.

I should mention I "stole" the layout and look of this forum for my own.
I did give credit on the main page though. And it's kind of a moot point anyway since the server it's on is currently on a boat on it's way from Canada to the UK... thus no site is up at the moment.

I'd worry about people stealing Quinn since she's basically a character from something I want to publish with a different name, but hey, the name is different and (this may sound smug of me) I honestly don't think anyone else could write her the way she really, really is. Probably she won't come accross the same in text anyway; she's a play character.
Personally I think the public domain thing is really good, 'cause I've been inspired by RPs before, and it's awkward copyright-wise.

No, it sounds realistic. We put a lot of thought and effort into our own PCs, so it would be really surprising if someone who wasn't in on the process was as familiar with their personalities and backgrounds as we are. It's essentially the difference between an original work and fan fiction based on it.
I made a similar comment about Uluki, partly because I've played her for such a long time: about 17 months total, as I count it, in another setting and then in this one... covering nearly eleven years of her in-game life. This character is very much a product of her experiences, so it would be hard for someone to just pick her up and write her correctly.
I definitely get where you're coming from on this. I look forward to reading about Quinn's adventures.

Glad to hear it! You don't have any suggestions for where I could start them, do you? I've been looking around in Marn and non of it seems very newbie-accessible, which is a good thing in a way because it means you guys have great developed plotlines, but also it's hard to know where to jump in.

My advice is start a new thread in the Player Communication forum advertising your wish, announcing ideas of what kind of plots would interest you, where you would like stories with the character to go.
Gives them a starting point to work with.
