#1 rule of thumb? Start simple! Low magic is always a good plan. We are a collaborative storytelling site with a LOT of focus on character development.

Hello! My username, as you can tell, is Jerek Helamore (Don't Ask, I always make dumb character last names).

I just wanted to say hello to you all, since i just posted my first character app and would love to start organizing a plot discussion. I want to have something nice and character-establishing, taking place on the outskirts of Marn. Jerek is a mage that uses his healing magical to aid the poor and weak in the slums around him. Whether it divulges into a rather tense atmosphere due to a guard coming in or stays nice and relaxed, with Jerek giving his philosophical stance to an injured passerby, I don't mind. I would love to avoid Jerek getting attacked by a guard, since I'm sure that healing magic isn't exactly the bane of existence. (And Jerek did register with the Hall of Justice.)
