Got a sudden hankering for sum RP/colab fiction like I used to do in the old days.
Found this site.
Began lurking furiously whilst mentally hammering out my character.

Greetings everyone, please call me Rose. I am new here and I have already talked to some of you in the chat, but I figured it would be good to post an intro. I am twenty nine years old, born Dec. 25th. I have an amazing husband who is my best friend and a ten year old daughter. Although, disabled due to various things I enjoy writing, gaming, martial arts, reading, music, bellydance, wildlife conservation, wolves, and I use to show Siberian Huskies and German Sheps. I miss showing dogs and volunteering at wolf rescues. I am looking forward to making new friends and role playing with everyone. Have a blessed day, cheers!

What an auspicious birthday (even if maybe annoying in terms of bday vs holiday?)! Welcome again, and sounds like you and Tov should talk doggy shop. Looking forward to seeing how you incorporate your experiences with wolf rescue into writing a wolf shifter. :3

If you need some help brainstorming for your character, please speak up! :)

Well hello there!

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Matthias, I am 23, game developer (student), part time composer, part-part-time writer, part-part-part time philosopher and probably a hundred less important and less stellar things.

I've been writing & RP'ing for many years now. Probably about five or thereabouts. I am active on a few other sites as well, but I don't have a "main" goto site or forum at the moment. I am hoping to find that here. I certainly feel the itch to write!

There are several things I already really like about this place. It's not drowning in members, that keeps things manageable, I imagine. Same with the setting, It's smaller than what I am used to, but that's probably a good thing. A lot of things in the character guide had me nodding in approval as well, the emphasis on having realistic characters that have strong points, but also flaws.

Anyway, I'll be off to write my first CS. I am thinking to make a character who has magical abilities but doesn't want them and has little control over them. As far as I could tell from all the lore I've read, that's within the realm of what's allowed, correct?

Looking forward to writing with you all.

Cheers!

Hey guys newbie here. I've been on multiple RP forums before, all with different styles of Rping, some have individual threads, some have one megathread to do everything in. Some just let you go around and stuff. I'm fairly experienced with RP and writing so I hope to see you all in the story.

Hi Everybody,

I've just posted my first PC and look forward to becoming involved in your community.

This is also my first experience of this type of roleplay, as I'm used to face-to-face so I'm intrigued to see how it works out.

Played D&D in my younger days, which is a long time ago now! Just got back into roleplaying and looking for something different like Play by Mail.

My youthful D&D days of hack and slash combats are consigned to history, although still like the idea of some action! Much more interested in developing an interesting story perhaps involving political intrigue or investigating some mysterious secret.

I’ve always wanted to write stories and I'm hoping this experience is the start of encouraging me to do more.

Cheers,
G.

Welcome, welcome!

I am so happy to see some new writers on the site.

Understanding the setting is pretty important and political intrigue sounds yummy (though I'm horrible at it!).

Graham, I happy to relinquish my title of oldest to you! Huzzah!

Thanks Ivone. Of course, age is only a state of mind, although my bobdy may disagree1 :D

Hello. I'm John. I'm a 29-year old legal writer/never-was author that got the itch to roleplay again after about a year of hiatus, saw this group on TVtropes and decided to dive in. I'm finding everything daunting but pleasant, and intend to get an application out soon. I plan to make it hopefully easier on myself by making a human, although the nature of the setting and the quality ensures it won't be too easy. I look forward to playing with you guys, maybe even soon.

Welcome to Thar Shaddin!

Feel free to pop into the chatroom (link to the top left of the page)
Even if nobody is in at the time, often if folks see a new face there they will log in as well.
We'll be happy to help you get a bit more familiarised with the setting, or just chat in general :)
