Fay grumbled and managed to stumble her way to her mate who promptly scooped her into his arms.

"Show-off..." Fay grumbled. "But no more magic for awhile, okay?" Tired eyes looked up into Jerial's own.

"Of course," he said, a little agitated by her bluntness, but resigned to trust her judgement. "Do you remember where we were before here? I cannot remember anything." Try as he might, he could not remember any recent events prior to his awakening here in the slaver's complex.

Fay's eyebrow's furrowed in concern as she realized, she too did not know where they had been. She remembered running from their camp, which she described, but beyond that.... She shook her head, ignoring the waves of dizziness the motion caused. Instead she simply leaned into the man carrying her as she fought to think.

"Which leads me to question you, human, where on earth did you come from?"

"From the city originally." Drayel responded frowning at the piles of ashes that were once human. "I followed a group of bandits from there. Good as that is I'm more concerned in your use of magic elf."

"You need not worry, human. I am fully capable of handling myself, and much more."

Silly humans.

"Mhhh..." hummed Fay before looking around plaintively. "Can we find a lake or something? I don't know about you guys but this blood's drying on me...."

"A lake would be good." Drayel agreed. "You two can clean up there, and as for the Shapeshifter her wounds need cleaning. Who knows what dirt those bastards had in their blood."

Drayel snorted as he followed the horizon with his eyes. Bandits no longer covered the arena and by the looks there weren't any coming. Perhaps they finally figured out they were a force to be reckoned with. Stupid morons.

Letting out a sigh Drayel turned from the hills of 'ash' and began to fiddle with his pouch, growling in frustration as his wound and shoulder pulsed in pain. Drayel scowled as he struggled with the opening.

Finally after a couple minutes he had it open and fished through it as he searched for a map. Finding it he pulled it out and spread it on the ground. Frowning he examined it with critical eyes.

"How about this one?" Drayel asked pointing at a lake on the map. "It's close."

Fay peered at the map as well before nodding.

"There would be good." She agreed even as Jerial snorted and muttered. She managed to pull him down and kiss him gently before looking to Drayel.

"Lead on, human. My mate will offer you no other resistances." Indeed, Jerial appeared a little star struck and managed a nod before gloering down at her as if to say: You did that on purpose. She only smiled cockily back in reply.

(OP and OC but I don't care xD)

Drayel tried his best to ignore the pair behind him as he lead the way. Little murmers and growls caught his attention but he tried not to listen in. It was rude after all and Father always told him not to. Well, more like he laughed whenever he got caught eavesdropping on Mother and her friends.

His steps steadily slowed as he began to feel the pull of exhaustion. His shoulder pained him but not as bad as the pulsing wound on his other arm. Behind him a couple of hacks told him the shifter still lived but he had a feeling the medicine from before was wearing off. Still she forced herself to stay quiet through pain, so he would keep moving too.

It took longer then he thought. Half of the day went by before he spotting the lake.

"We're almost there." Drayel growled glancing back at the two. "Do you want to rest or keep going?"

Jerial hefted the almost out-cold Fay, grunting. The day had caught up to them, it seemed, and he was keen to get Fayane somewhere safe. Well, safer.

"We're almost there, let's press on... the sooner we hit that lake, the better." Jerial grunted, shifting Fay in his arms so that she was easier to carry for a bit. Mostly their conversation had been Fay chastising him for worrying her - and making her face a Changer. By Elohim he loved this woman... but she drove him mad some days.

Drayel led the way to the lake all the while growling as he though over his choices. He could easily leave them behind once they reached the lake (it was safe last time he checked) but if he did leave and they got mauled by sea monsters (which wouldn't happen) then he'd probably regret it for the rest of his life. So now he was stuck watching over them like an unwanted gaurd dog.

Treat those who are strangers with kindness for that kindness could also be returned to you. Drayel sighed as he trudged on. Father why couldn't you just let me be a miserable bastard like the rest of the gaurds?

"The lakes getting close." Drayel called back as he spotting the lake not far off. He glanced back at the elf with a frown. "How is ... Fayane I believe her name is? How is her condition?"
