Not sure when you want me in, so please PM me when it's time. For some reason the board REALLY doesn't want "view active topics" to work consistently for me, so there's a chance I'll miss plot discussion stuff if I don't check twice a day.

Once again, overdue. God, I really hate work sometimes.

Please let me know if this should be changed or expanded. I didn't want to lead things too far, since I really have no idea what Porter is gonna do, but I realized that I may not have given much for people to react to.

Your post is fine. And I forgot to mention it last time but Xeis/Yyan you were correct about the child not having any weapons. They are creepy but they are basically just Porter's assistants. They help keep the hall clean and they might help drag a body from the torture alter to the cells, but they don't actually do anything that would threaten the group and they don't contain any power of their own.

So I talked with Fruggles tonight. I wanted to ask him about what sort of punishment any members of the group might face if they were to be caught. He responded with,

(20:18:30) Frug: dude of course there's special punishment for committing the worst crime possible
(20:18:48) Frug: I wouldn't suggest letting them get caught because nobody would come out of that alive
(20:18:55) Niabi: I was asking you what it was?
(20:19:07) Frug: death by torture
(20:19:26) Niabi: that's what I was thinking, but I thought I would ask
(20:19:43) Frug: they'd keep them alive long enough to bring bela
(20:19:47) Frug: then he'd probably finish them off himself
(20:20:07) Frug: he's the kind of guy who might let one of them live, but permanently scarred beyond repair
(20:20:16) Niabi: nice
(20:20:20) Frug: like, with no eyes or tongue

So ummm yeah. I'm still thinking I want Tal to get caught, anybody else for it?

(20:24:09) Niabi: Porter has been fucking with them so far
(20:24:23) Niabi: and he called in battlemages to help
(20:24:31) Frug: if he knows they're there, they're already pretty fucked
(20:24:47) Frug: I mean he can move walls around and smush them casually
(20:25:02) Niabi: He has already been moving walls
(20:25:21) Frug: I don't see a lot of ways out once he's been alerted
(20:25:39) Frug: He's basically god in there
(20:26:44) Niabi: We are thinking that the group is going to split up and then Porter would have to try to deal with six different people running in different directions at once
(20:40:34) Niabi: I still like the idea of some of group getting caught
(20:40:57) Niabi: and I just really don't see Tal getting out of there on his own
(21:05:24) Frug: yeah that could work
(21:05:34) Frug: although one of the six at least will die horribly

and that is what Frug had to say about that.

I have no problem using Sagath as the one getting killed horribly if that's the case. Though, I could always kill Anther too and then app one of hte others to be the 'main' sort of character I'd be playing from then on (yoger prolly, the only one to get out of the mess untouched XD).

I am interested in how porter would reply to sagath trying to win him over though.

Hey y'all, before I jump in with the battlemages (soon), I just want to let you all know a bit of what to expect. Check out the NPC profile if you haven't yet for Gachety's Boys, which will give you a vague idea of what your characters will be up against. While not listed categorically, these battlemages do have specific powers and weaknesses that I have set and will not tweak as I go (I'm playing fair), but they are also going to be kept secret (as in, I will not explicitly state in OOC fashion what their powers and weaknesses are). Basically, I'm not going to godmod the fight, but I also don't intend to make it easy.

And like Niabi and Frug said, at least one of the group is going to die! Fun, right?

In the future, it's best to contact me by PM to Pagusel, since it's the one I log in under most often!

Argh, I'm really sorry to do this to you guys, but I'm going to be gone until Sunday! Normally I'd try to get a post up before I left and check messages and stuff, but the plane leaves in an hour and a half and I need to get going.

Again, really sorry for the delay. The first thing I'll do when I'm back on Sunday is get on Thar, promise.

Ming, I took a bit of a liberty with having Tsai grab Chet, let me know if you'd like me to change it or anything.

Fight time!

I don't think it should be a problem. Gachety is a professional but is momentarily, uncharacteristically, distracted by something (which will become revealed in time).

However, there are things to consider: he is a very experienced battlemage with good reflexes, and based on my assumption that the room is at least the size of an average living room and since Tsai's speed is fast but not superhuman, I do think that even distracted he'd have the wherewithal to notice her approach. So all that said, I do feel it is pretty uncharacteristic for a veteran battlemage to have this happen to him.

I'm not going to say no to it, because it's definitely interesting for the sake of the fight. It's just that he's going to have had to be very distracted. I'll work with it!

Also, I don't know if Porter is still posting now. Yes, no?

Yes, Porter will have a post up tomorrow.
