His sister Latifa was injured very severely by the blasts of the flowerpots, but survived. She is in the hospital.

Azu was also injured.

I assumed a lot of things for the Guile post.

• We apparently have emergency vehicles of some form. Makes sense, given we have a firetruck. They could just be carriages. We also have gurneys.
• Operating theatre is at the back of the second level.
• Critical care unit is on the second level.
• Intravenous therapy does not exist. It was developed in the 1830s, which seems too recent for something that important in this setting.

Sounds good! Yes, we do have modified carriages for transporting people. 3 of them.

Since Ree is down for the count, I am attempting to do some of that descriptive stuff for the hospital. If the posts are too distracting from actual interactions, please let me know and I will refrain.

Fun tidbit of info

Nav gave me some timing bits and pieces - we estimate the bombings to occur ~ 8:30. Figure 20 minutes to 30 minutes of bombing, duck and covering, so

Hrmm. Gotta admit, the stall is because I'm struggling to find a way to continue interacting with Renee beyond my immediate post. I can't really imagine Azuel demanding to see his sister immediately, especially if doctors are actively working on her, as is the case here. Which would mean he'd just sit around until his sister wasn't being operated on. Can I time skip the thread, or should I do something else? It is a little earlier than most thread take jumps forward.

I could also post Azuel going back to waiting, and then when the time comes, I'll jump back in to posting. If you guys have something you want to do in the present time.

If anyone catches me in chat sometime, I'd be happy to talk about it then too. I'm worried I'm missing a reasonable course of action that just isn't occurring to me.

I think it's safe to wait for Guile to post. Although we have a sort-of posting order, from a flow perspective, Guild should be next.

Feel free to add some background color, post as an NPC, or whatever. You could do that.

I say I'm not going to post frequently, and I post a big one instead. Go me, using my time responsibly. In my defense, this came surprisingly easy to me so it was quick for its size.

I considered replacing Azuel's last statement with something self-loathing that accidentally slipped out. Probably "I'm an insult to Khayyam's memory" instead of what he meant to say. But this makes everything worse and struck me as more plausible so I stuck with that.

I have just been reading for a while. The interaction between Azuel and Ivone was really good.

I found it most natural to just wait, as Renee would hardly get time to interrupt what she witnessed, and she's also a titre and just a volunteer so I thought she would intervene if it got more violent, but not at once.

What would be best now? I can post now (or after a Metarie post) and let Renee speak to Azuel, or I can wait until after Azuel's next post with a reation to the latest post by Ivone.

I'm not quite certain what Azuel will do next, so if you'd like to post I'd welcome the stimulus! Barring any action on Renee's part he'd probably storm out of the building in frustration over his inability to visibly infuriate Ivone. While I've been toying around with the notion of him demanding to see his sister, I'm pretty sure he's not that dense even now. Left to his own devices from this point on, he'd go pray or play his Kanun eventually.
