A quick note to avoid later confusion when reading my posts from Saruna's perspectives --

In Thar's time for the poorer folk, especially in magically constrained areas, the life expectancy for humans is not terribly high. I have described Saruna as an old woman despite the fact that she is only 54; in real life I would still consider her middle aged. However, in Thar terms she is fast approaching death, and likely would be lucky to make it far past 60. Therefore, feeling old in body and being elderly in community, she has a habit on looking at those younger than her children's ages as Very Young. She knows they are traditionally adults by age, but in experience she considers them children still.

Therefore, you will see her in my posts referring to Ran, Fayane and likely Jerial as boys, girl, young men and young woman. This has nothing to do with their actual age or world-weary maturity, but rather on her impressions of them from appearance and behavior.

Ran is 25 years old, older than Fayane by a good few years than Fayane and younger than Jerial by a few. Saruna will group them up in the same 'youth' category simply because of their appearances and behavior that recalls her to her girlhood. (I picked up this trait from one of my coworkers, who fondly will call me 'little girl' to my face on occasion, which caused me a touch of undignified prideful injury at the age of 20, as one might expect. Saruna, however, is a bit more tactful than that, and will only do that sort of age regression in her mind)

Meanwhile, it is likely she will revolve from disapproving to approving with Tanobi, as she will expect him to act similarly to her as they are the same age. She has not had extensive experience with outside cultures or adults, relying mostly on her memories with her family. Behavior outside of that paradigm will be met with surprise and judgement both until either she changes or commits to stubbornness in her entrenched world view.

Sorry to cause any confusion. :P

Acknowledged.
I am to assume that it is 'Ran's' turn in the rotation then?

Go head and skip Ran for now, I checked and I'd forgotten to send him a pm when I thought I had.

Under these circumstances it would be Fayane's turn correct?

Ooh wait hold! Fayane's turn after Ran, yes, but I just got word from Ran. He'll be a bit slowed (once or twice a week rather than every other day or every day), but he's going to try to get back to posting regularly. Sooo he's going to get a post off here today or tomorrow.

Ahhh yeah I'm after Ran, I don't mind waiting :D IF things get fast-paced does he mind if we skip him? I'm not saying it will just as a question.... and I'm not making sense at the moment, apologies.

I dunno, he didn't respond to my last pm. Go ahead and post, it's not likely they'll be moving from where they are presently, and Saruna hasn't introduced him yet, so it shouldn't make a difference if he posts this round.

Alllrighty. Fayane will need to be stepping out for real life pretty soon, so I'm checking to see 1) who is still able to post regularly, and 2) who is interested in coming up with ideas to let Fayane go inactive while still allowing the character to be picked up at a potential later date. Barring ideas for number 2, I'll likely cause some ruckus of some kind to split them up.

Fayane did volunteer to stick around until the end of the Rebellion plot, but posting speeds being as they are in the other threads I have a good feeling it's going to take another year to reach any sort of climax. . .sooo. . .I do need to keep Saruna active to push things along. We'll see.

Speaking of real life, I'm afraid that i am about to undertake a 15-day vacation and won't have a computer with internet available. And in retrospect this update should have come sometime sooner, my apologies for any inconvenience.

Jerial, how active do you think you're going to be in the upcoming months? At this point it's looking like it's just myself and Tanobi who will be able to post regularly, so we're going to need something to shake them up.
