Is Alyson next or Cam?

I'm not sure if there is a posting order or not - but I believe Cam should go before Alyson goes again... Someone needs to knock Tomas into next week

I don't think we necessarily need a strict posting order, but some semblance of not-mayhem would be nice (if that makes sense). Logical posting order rather than preordained.

So, given the current circumstances, I would guess Captain Cam would be quick to react to such a scene. Thus, it would be odd to skip him altogether.

In short--now that I've made you read the long-winded version--I agree with Alyson.

Otherwise Alyson could get one in as the man, especially if he wants to try to make a sneaky move while Cam is looking at Myllis.

Either could work, either you or Alyson. Tomas could do something to cam/ree first, or myllis could. It's pretty much simultaneous, flip a coin who goes first.

I have some ideas about where things could go from here.

I won't say too much, but I think that Alyson could provide another hole in Camulous' hard shell. If she, Ree, and Mei Li or Aramyllis befriended him enough, it might be enough to actually get him to put friendship before duty.

Considering Aramyllis' little secrets, it wouldn't be too hard to push things in a direction where that would become an issue. It might so happen that a certain werewolf and a certain battlemage might want to have a word with her, or someone else in the group.

*flips coin* Myllis - why don't you go first? Then I'll post with Tomas & Alyson's responses to everyone's reactions.

And Frug - I like your thinking on the future of this plot.

I do agree with Frug's idea, though. Being in a relationship with a magic-user means Cam is pretty much going to have to confront his past and his prejudices, sooner or later. Which was kind've where I was planning to take Myllis.

I would totally post... except it would be "Mei Li watched the scene unfold..." And that's about it. I figure a forced, two or three sentence post is worse than just letting you all get a little further before I interject with my foreigner. So, in short, I'm still here, just not have anything good to say at the moment. (Ahem, Mei Li is mine)

Okay so we were talking a bit in chat the other day, and something came up that isn't new, but I want to put it down here so everyone understands that it is something Alyson and I have thought about, and also something Jasp has mentioned.

Right now the center of attention is on Cam, Tomas and Alyson, but this is Jasps thread. They 'stole the spotlight' so to speak, and we know. There's a bunch of us in this thread and balancing the attention isn't easy. We are going to step back though, now that Tomas is gone, and everyone will have opportunities to do stuff. We're not trying to take over or be jerks or anything like that. So ya know.

How generous of you Frug... All sarcasm aside though, I really didn't mean that when i mentioned that in chat the other day. This was an intro thread for Mei Li, and I didn't really intend to be the sole "star" of it. I have absolutely no bad feelings for what's been going on at all. It was and is open for anything and everything that comes along. Unlike Lo'en, I don't have any defined direction for this character yet.

Yo Jasp, I think you and I should do the next post together. Like Cam and Alyson did. Otherwise, I could do it alone, but I'm afraid it will be really short. Hopefully you'll be around tonight and we can talk about it.

Edit: Oh wait, nevermind. I was going to have the blade stick in the earth so that only Myllis (or Ree) could remove it, but Mei Li's earlier post says she picked it up already. Thus, I'll post by myself, but I'm afraid it won't really forward the action at all. *shrugs*
