I'm sorry lyl, that was me. I like, clicked on edit instead of quote, and thought I was editing my own post and... Yeah...
No worries. I actually like this explanation better than "random board craziness!" The hand of man, rather than the hand of fate.

Online I've been many things, from JMVC - which stood for Jedi Master Vampire Coffee... that was an odd one. More of a combination of things I got called on a chatroom. Still, the coffee part suited me well.
Then people started calleing me a sith lord instead (it was a star wars based chat room, obviously), so it changed to SLVC.
I eventually quit that forum after being a moderator for six months. Honestly, the world is populated with assholes.
Xyon (Zi-on) works best for me. I initially created that name based on a minor character in a Star Trek book, and built on his character, making him a main character in my own sci-fi series, which until recently was available on my website.
It's now at the bottom of the atlantic ocean and there it will remain.
And Xyon has kinda stuck with me for about three years. I also answer to Xy (Zi) , as in fact does the character.

Curse the Atlantic Ocean! For this and many worse reasons!

Man... I don't have any nicknames, really. Everyone, teachers, friends, family, call me Caitlin. Which is my first birthname. Though, one of my friends calls me "Caity" which, if anyone else did, I'd kill them. I don't like my name to be shortened (or made cute). My mom calls me "girl" a lot, which I think is a bit degrading and was confusing when my sister still lived with us. Sometimes she calls me "Caitlin-girl" though and that's okay with me. I know its supposed to be affectionate. For a short time when I was younger I wanted to be called "Cat" but that didn't last long, but my mom would keep calling me that in public.
That really wasn't interesting at all, now was it? Online I am called Ice, BR, etc. usually changing with whatever s/n I use. I wouldn't want online friends to call me Caitlin unless they knew me in r/l.
My dad told me the other day he was called "Spider" in school and by his friends because he was tall and gangly. Now he's fat, though.

Still tall!

Jodika (not my real name, but what everyone calls me), which is pronnounced 'Jo-dik-a', not 'Jo-deek-a' as some people say it. I also answer to Jode, Jodie, and other variants, but if people say 'Jo' I assume they're talking to someone else.
On the internet it's Spooky Cactus, and IRL I have more nicknames than I care to remember. On this board, Quinn I guess. Not that anybody ever calls Quinn 'Quinn' IC. I'm starting to think that if she ever does actually let someone know exactly who and what she is, she might have to invent a new name just to have one she's comfortable hearing someone else say. 'Arlechina Quinn' is really a relic of the past. (The ch in Arlechina is a hard 'k', btw. It's a bastardised Comedie dell'Arte thing.)
The character she deviated from is from a play I'm helping write, and she's called Jester, which I also get called IRL by my writing partner.

WOO-HOO!!! I was pronouncing Lylessa right. Yep, I dug up a dead subject because zombies rule.
Now, in real life, I've been called many things. My parents and all others call me Jeremy or Jeremy Joseph if they're pissed. My dad's mom occasionally calls me by Handsome. My sisters, on the other hand, call me Bubbie, and I will kill all others who use that term in reference to me.
I've got a few nicknames from non-family non-friend persons. My "uncle" calls me Way Cool Jr. This one family (the entire family) that know most of my family well calls me Kent Jr. or Little Kent (Kent is my father's name). And I've also been called Turkey Buzzard by this one real annoying old man.
I'm called tons of things by friends. Jeremy, Jerms, and Beck (my surname) by my core group of friends. Other friends have called me Long Hair, Holes (had more piercings than the people in that group), Hippie Boy, Creepy, Mad Max (gotta love stoners), Jeremi, Jeremiah, Jedidiah (guy got drunk and kept screwing up Jeremiah and it stuck), Paddiwan, Grass-Hopper, Jay, and some more I can't think of.
Online it really just depends on were I am. I only really have a few UNs. dressd2dpress or d2d, hellion462606 or hellion, and, of course, Drake.
Now, (does funny dance and sings) Watch me move like my Juke!

I've recently taken on another nickname, so I figured I'd necromance the shit outta this thread.
I don't care if that's an actual verb or not, shut up.
I am now called "Twilight" at work, as a joke. I used to be "The Darkness" but I got upgraded because another girl took on that name instead of me for being mean
Velez has officially become my name to my supervisor and several of my co-workers. I respond to it so it works.
I have also designated myself as The Token Mexican, mostly so that my co-workers and I can have long hilarious discussions about how white they are and what Mexicans do/don't do. The other day I told them there's only two types of people in the world: white people and Mexicans. So anyone who's not white is Mexican. I then asked a co-worker who's married to a Korean girl how it feels to have married a Mexican.
We were all bustin' up laughing, but I may very well be fired one day...
