I agree with Joe. I think it'd be better if they separated and went their separate ways, but it would be hard to do so and stay true to the characters... well, except for Chez. He's just gonna tag along after Maeve like a little puppy.

I can only think of one idea. We'll probably have to post a couple more times each, but we can get them down to dinner, eat, have a meeting with Anja's representative, and that representative says that, for whatever reason, creation of a weapon for Maeve isn't possible, and sends her away.

Two, maybe 3 more posts...

Or, if you and Maeve are going to continue to write together, we can just go through with the damned plot, and then you two can bugger off in search of a weapon, while Lopa and I continue our thing. Again, it would take 2 or 3 posts. Puck says, "yes, very nice, you saved Benjamin's ass, but I need one last favour before I go handing out crazy magic weapons like they're party favours. Go do this..."

*EDIT*
After which Maeve doesn't really ever need to go searching for the weapon, come to think of it. It's still a reasonable split.

two or three more posts will take at the present rate a couple months. That's too long. If you really want to finish this thread let's do it with one more post each. Have the dinner, send Chez and Maeve off and that's enough. Actually I think one more post from Anja getting us to the dinner and Puck sending them off might be enough.

*rolls his eyes*

You all know my thoughts on the subject, and where Chez the character stands. Can we just get this over with so I can play my character again? This conversation is sucking out my will to live.

Edit: I'd just also like to mention that several times Maeve and I have mentioned that we take a week to post sometimes, although I'm generally much better than Maeve at posting. At the same time, in January, Maeve also mentioned that she was working on 2 websites, probably a 3rd soon, and also having a bunch of stuff to do with school. If we were going to get out of this thread, then was the time to do it.

Personally, I just want my character out of here so I can play him again, no matter if the things that happen are out of character for our characters. Because I'm just going to assume this is a throw-away thread anyways, and pull my character out if none of this is resolved in a week. Just an FYI and a heads-up.

I'm currently the one waiting on everyone else, so I say that Maeve's post however long ago that said to skip her/auto her stands, so you two post, and I'll auto Maeve in my posts. If Maeve sees something that I'm doing that she doesn't agree with, then she'll just have to mention it, if she reads it before 9 posts go by (9 is an arbitrary number randomly picked out of the air, I don't actually mean 9 posts).

I'm done. I'm off my high horse.

Yeah, 2-3 posts was not an option I gave :P I mentioned that "one post" thing so that those that feel they should, can tie up loose ends before leaving the thread. I'm perfectly content to just move on and find another thread.

*sweatdrop* Me too.

I'm perfectly fine with that. If you guys must have an exit post (or a few) then this would work. I wouldn't want to hold you guys up as we try to end it XD

Sure, I never blamed you guys. I knew the drill, and thought it would work anyway, but I guess it didn't. If the plot was moving along in an interesting way, the slow posting speed might have worked fine, but for me, the real problem is that the characters just don't really have a spark. I posted, so now you guys can tell Puck to stuff it and go your separate ways

No hard feelins :D

So, uh, does that mean, even tho you're around, I'm still autoing Maeve in my post?

I'll assume that if there is no response in 36 hours, that's a yes, and I'll post then.

*begins thinking of ways to extract Maeve and Chezak from the thread*

Yeah sure. Give the excuse of Maeve being tired; perhaps a lie like they would meet with them later. Whatever you wanna do.

Alright, I did do a post. I imagine it going like this: Maeve gets mad they want more of her, and she refuses. She'll eat a little bit, thank them for the meal, and then leave. Another post or two to establish that, and we're done. Sound good? :)

Guys? You asked me to ask her to to make that post, don't drop out of communication now. Not nice.

Oh yeah, sorry. I was kind of going by the agreement in silence technique. Silly me, that doesn't work on forums. :P

I'm down with that.

*EDIT* sorry about the wrong account thing too. One of these days, I swear, I'll learn not to sockpuppet people.

Yeah, and my computer died on Saturday, so I had absolutely no internet contact since then. That, and I was also doing the 'if I have disagreements, I'll speak up' rule that I usually use.

I'm going to make a post now. Now butt out, Phil. :P

Edit: You'll also notice, Phil, if you read the actual thread, that it had only been a single day since anyone had posted. Jeez man, keep up.

Ok, those weapons won't be as cool as if Maeve actually got her own made and bonded to her via the whole ephemera process, so they won't "feel" as naturally hers in her hands. They might even feel unnatural. But they should all do some pretty nifty tricks anyway. I dunno what, just make it up.

Chez won't take one. He doesn't like magic. The only magic he has is in his falchion, which only remains sharp and won't ever rust. Which doesn't mean he can cut through anything, just that he can hack his way through thick bushes without worrying about the blade going dull
